Josy 24-11-2015 12:56 PM

Lovely

But you can't beat an ol oatcake and cheese

Crimson Dynamo 24-11-2015 12:58 PM

I used to have broken up tea biscuits with hot water and then milk and sprinkled with sugar

:umm2:

Josy 24-11-2015 12:59 PM

You disgust me

Kazanne 24-11-2015 01:05 PM

My mom butters them and puts cheese on them, not for me,but she loves them.

Black Dagger 24-11-2015 01:13 PM

Only do it at Christmas because they come in the cracker selections.

kirklancaster 24-11-2015 01:17 PM

Ugh. No.

Shaun 24-11-2015 01:19 PM

That sounds bloody disgusting. But then I avoid butter where possible. Don't have it in sandwiches. Only have it on toast or crumpets.

Suze 24-11-2015 01:19 PM

That is one very cute doggy avatar, LT.

I am trying to forget most of the sickly food suggestions :yuk:

Crimson Dynamo 24-11-2015 01:29 PM

Which I loved when young, especially if it was brown sugar sarnies, and when I had a sweeter tooth, but wouldn't eat them now. There are so many siblings in my family and so always there was dripping over from meats, so I even loved bread and dripping sarnies with salt on them when little and when I knew no better. Prefer the old beans or spaghetti on toast these days.

I am. I've always thought they tasted better with butter on. They are nice with a bit of butter and some blue cheese too.

Will. 24-11-2015 03:52 PM

My dad did this as a kid, biscuits with butter and sugar.

Babayaro. 24-11-2015 10:01 PM

Oh yes, with jam too. Squash the ****ers together and make a sandwich :flutter:

Calderyon 24-11-2015 10:17 PM

Cream Cracker with Margarine is the way to go.

Glenn. 24-11-2015 10:21 PM

Yes. It is a glorious coupling

I love butter on toast, on warm crumpets, warm muffins, crusty bread, and on cream crackers and non-sweet 'cheese' biscuits - but not on digestives, though I am amazed at how many others DO love this.

I might just try it.
