Tim Wonnacott Departs Bargain Hunt After 12 Years
Did you know that he actually presented Bargain Hunt for over twice as long as David Dickinson?
Tim Wonnacott has departed Bargain Hunt after 12 years at the helm. 12 years! The antiques expert took over from David Dickinson as host of the BBC One daytime series in 2003. He said: "I am pleased to have been part of Bargain Hunt for so many years and have thoroughly enjoyed every one of my, roughly 1,200 programmes hunting out bargains with the contestants. Alongside continuing to voice Antiques Road Trip for the BBC, I look forward to developing new programme ideas. The BBC added: "We would like to thank Tim Wonnacott for his dedication to Bargain Hunt over the last 12 years and for the great expertise that he has brought to the show in that time. "Bargain Hunt will be moving in a new direction next year utilising a team of experts who present a number of shows each. Tim continues to work with the BBC on Antiques Road Trip." Any Bargain Hunt fans shouldn't worry too much about its future as a team of experts will host the show from January, while Tim will still be seen in episodes until early 2016. He was suspended by the BBC in September after being involved in an alleged row with producers. http://www.digitalspy.com/tv/news/a7...fter-12-years/ |
