Fleur East - Paris [Full Version]

Thought it deserved it's own thread since it seems to be the most popular with fans from the album so far

I hope they release Paris, Kitchen, Breakfast or Gold Watch as the next single  (unless they have an unheard one they've been deliberately keeping back)

Her songs don't really make any sense to me

They're all mostly metaphors about love x

(but not boring lovesong ballads, they're upbeat songs you can groove to)

If I get too drunk,
Would you take me home?
Would you leave me in this club?
On my own?
I don't know nobody,
These are all your friends!
A couple of them looking nice,
Nice enough to buy my breakfast!

I just don't get it

Since when did people start caring whether lyrics make sense or not

As long as it sounds good I really don't care about the lyrics  Bopping to a song >>> Singing to a song imo

Her boyfriend leaving her in a club with all his friends but there nice enough so she can stay with them in the morning to buy her breakfast, what's not to understand chick

Headie 05-12-2015 08:51 PM

From what I make of it, "buy my breakfast" is referring to if her friend/bf would leave her in the club and she's too drunk to get home on her own so she has to get their friends to look after ha overnight and buy ha breakfast in the morning

Why are we talking about Breakfast in the Paris thread lmao  Paris needs the recognition it deserves since it's such a good song from the album <333

I just hope the writer isn't getting too much money...

Pretty sure "buying my breakfast" is... a little more than just looking after her for the night

(maybe it's harder to get than I thought)

Like I said before, pretty much every song on the album is a metaphor about love (whatever kind of love you're into I guess )

lewis111 05-12-2015 09:04 PM

Paris is Fleur's favourite song from the album too

lewis111 05-12-2015 09:05 PM

It's the most unique song off the album IMO
