'Rihanna is still looking for music' - Sia
http://nme.assets.ipccdn.co.uk/image...article_x4.jpg Rihanna is still working on new album 'Anti', with Sia revealing that she gave four songs to the pop star just last week. Fans have been speculating that the singer may release new album 'Anti' this month (December) after she launched a new website for the record in mid-November. Speculation suggested that the album would be streamed on Tidal with a wider release planned for December 4. However, that failed to materialise. Rumours have been rife about the singer’s forthcoming album, with singles ‘Bitch Better Have My Money’ and ‘American Oxygen’ both released earlier this year, as was 'FourFiveSeconds', a collaboration with Kanye West and Paul McCartney. Speaking to Jo Whiley on BBC Radio 2 this weekend, Sia let slip that she recently played Rihanna a collection of songs she has written with the view to them making it onto 'Anti'. "The other night she came over and listened to half of 25 songs I played her because she's still looking for songs for her new album," Sia told Whiley. Sia wrote Rihanna's 2012 single 'Diamonds' and recently revealed that she offered her own song 'Alive' to her only to see it rejected. "She was there to listen to songs and see if there was anything that she was into," Sia added. "It was a business meeting for sure. She took four [songs] but I don't know if they'll end up [on the album]." Rihanna recently pulled out of a schduled live date as she worked on finishing the album. She decided against performing at the recent Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and was replaced on the bill by Ellie Goulding. Rihanna officially launched her eighth studio album in September at an exclusive gallery party in LA, during which both the 'Anti' title and the accompanying artwork were revealed. Speaking to NME earlier this year, Rihanna revealed that she has not finished work on her new album but promised she will deliver “something great” for fans eager to hear new music. Asked for a status update on the album fans had dubbed ‘R8’ in the absence of any concrete information. “It’s not done!” she said. “To me, it’s never done until it’s done. Until the final moment." Despite not having a release date for her new album, Rihanna will tour the UK next summer. The Weeknd and Big Sean will support Rihanna on all European dates on the Antiworld Tour, which makes it to Britain in June. http://www.nme.com/news/rihanna/90337 |

not Sia giving Anti more promo than Rihanna has
Embarrassing at this point. Good job she has Sia's talent to rely on.
Still an icon
I'm sure one of Sia's four songs will convey what Rihanna is feeling
This album will never see the light of day
It'd be easier to find Lord ****ing Lucan than it would be to find this album

I never normally buy into the doomsday hype crap and the 'make it or break it' album stuff... but Rihanna built her career on rapid fire albums, huge dance floor filler singles and being both omnipresent and perenially cool... she's now taken several years to put out her eighth album, ostensibly to spend time creating an album that will be more meaningful and lasting than her previous ones which were more or less put out to spin more money out of her singles and to let her go on tour again... but what we've heard is a campfire vanity project (FourFiveSeconds), a retread of Ratchet Rihanna (Bitch Better Have My Money) and whatever you would call the non event that was American Oxygen... nothing about any of this spells timeless other than maybe getting Paul McCartney to be in your music video and play guitar on an otherwise forgettable song. She needs to just swallow her pride and put out a dance track. It's what she's good at. It's what people love her for. The only song people seemed to really like out of the three was BBHMM which was in the other well loved Rihanna territory of being badgalriri so I don't get the hold up and I don't get the hesitance. I guess she's got the fear after so long away that this will tank and it will ruin the good reputation she built up.
