Christmas Presents / Surprises

Do you know everything you are getting for Christmas?

Or is everything a surprise to you

Or even do you know some but still get some surprises...

smudgie 18-12-2015 11:55 AM

First year ever I am totally clueless as to what I am getting.
I have dropped hints for an iPad pro...but not a clue if it will arrive under the tree or not.
Stuck for ideas for my Xmas list this year, the kids go mad as it means they have to rack their brains. Hoping for a magazine subscription from each of them for starters. I am quite boring to buy for to be fair.
Daughter is good at gift finding and son is hopeless..no doubt she will be helping him.

Our perfect Christmas gift came early, our daughter was at the hospital this morning and has been told that the worrying lump she has is only a cyst...she is now on her way home up North for an early Xmas, so it doesn't really get any better than that.

That's great news Smudge must be a huge weight off your mind

Few things i've told my mum i'd like which she'll probably get but she usually gets a few other bits that i won't be expecting which is always good. And then i've got no idea what any of my friends have got me so thats always a bit exciting Josy.

Yes, I can't even begin to explain the worry hubby and I have had this last fortnight or so, trying to be upbeat about it to her and saying everything will be fine when deep down we had no idea of the outcome.
Hopefully we will all sleep better tonight...best Christmas present ever.

I give a list out of ideas of things people could get me because I'm really hard to buy for apparently.

Black Dagger 18-12-2015 10:45 PM

I have no idea what my secret Santa has got me. That and Mum always gets me a surprise gift and Dad too.

I know im getting a Blender, coat and video games though.

Haven't asked for anything this year, everything I've wanted throughout the year I've just bought myself so there's nothing left really. I'm sure my mum will find something though.

I have a pretty solid idea of what I'm getting off my mum but it's not been confirmed. My Aunties have told me what they're getting me and both my nans are just giving me money.

I've asked for an Xbox but other than that idk what else I'm getting

(oh and I asked for one of those massive tubes of Jaffa cakes to be put in my stocking just because)

Ammi 19-12-2015 05:21 AM

...sometimes I have a list because I'm asked for a list but I usually just say surprise me so mostly don't know what I'll get..I'm generally the worst receiver of gifts ever and hate that anyone spends money on me, home made stuff is the best...

....awww jeez, how worried you must have all been Smudgie.....but she's ok, the best gift ever, eh...

I know that my boyfriend got me new earphones and my sister sent me a little package with a developed pic of my niece/goddaughter and some snacks etc.. My sister and brother are also sending me sweets and stuff.

My mother is very thoughtfully sending me a replacement of the toy I used for comfort as a child, lost it in a housefire in 3008. I can't believe she got it for me!

Then there's presents from my boyfriends family that I have no clue about, I just know there's more than three things

Dominic 19-12-2015 06:59 AM

Umm I was expecting you to give us gifts

waterhog 19-12-2015 08:03 AM

I have asked for a wife but as I am fussy - she better come with a receipt as I will return it.

I've dropped a few hints so I have an idea about a few. I also looked on my husbands purchased ebay items :hehe: and so I know one present for sure...unless...no, no that doesn't bare thinking about :nono:

I like surprises but I'm afflicted with negative persuasion. The more I tell myself not to peep, the more tempted I am to take a wee look.

Crimson Dynamo 19-12-2015 09:37 AM

i hate surprises and presents and tell people not to bother as there is nowt that I want. which is true. I am not being horrible but for me presents are for children not adults

that said I have got my mum tons of stuff

Babayaro. 19-12-2015 09:47 AM

I haven't asked for anything so it will just be money probably

Mitchell 19-12-2015 09:53 AM

I genuinely don't know anything I'm getting (well other than chocolate coins in my stocking, it's been like that since I was 1, so why change the tradition now)

King Gizzard 19-12-2015 09:54 AM

Already got my present which was the first months payment on an iPhone (6s plus)

Then my mum ll get me a few small stuff I don't know about

Vouchers from my siblings probably
