The Apprentice concludes with lowest final ratings in 10 years
The Apprentice 2015 final dropped almost a million viewers on last year's show.
An average audience of 5.3 million watched last night's season finale as Lord Sugar revealed which of the two finalists he would be investing his cash in. As has been tradition in recent years, the final was a two hour long special with spin-off You're Hired airing in the second half. The numbers are down on last year's 6.2 million and in fact last night's Apprentice final was the least watched since the very first series back in 2005, which had aired on BBC Two. A shame, but it didn't feel as much as an event compared to the previous years IMO.
Still a good show. |
iPlayer will add another 1 million+

Isn't that overnights? I'm sure it will increase once the officials come in.

No wonder, the finals are always comparatively low since the actual show and the You're Hired figures are combined - plus, it doesn't help that it was duller than ditchwater

I wouldn't have known it was on last night had it not been for coming on here and seeing the thread. Maybe some others didn't know too

This years final was dull, I agree. I was bored watching it. I much preferred last years final, it felt more of an event.

Good. First series since I started watching the show 5 years ago that I've abandoned midway through.

The first series finale got just under 4m, so this years is no where near being below that...
This series finale will be 1m down on last year. Not great but not bad either. 5.3m (which will rise to 6m with officials) isn't bad, the show is still strong enough to have a future. |
