Do you prefer the new layout in the main living area?

kitchen is now where the lounge is
lounge is where the kitchen was
dinning room is further left

Do you prefer the new layout change compared to BB16/CBB16?

mrmattybeck1 21-12-2015 10:40 PM

Absolutely

Will. 21-12-2015 10:41 PM

Yeah I really like it, it looks so much better imo.

zakman440 21-12-2015 10:41 PM

They've done this for the past three years now so I'm not too fussed.

Jarrod 21-12-2015 10:51 PM

The switch up in the lounge is always inevitable. Go back to having two separate rooms for the living area and kitchen!

Was BB11 the last time they were separate rooms?

I just wish that they'd isolate the staircase again tbh. I'm hoping that they do for BB17 but I doubt that they will.

Yeah! Since then C5 have had an open plan living area. The closest to having it closed off was BB13 when it was in it's own little area but it wasn't exactly on its own.

I doubt that we'll be seeing a closed off kitchen anytime soon as C5 love the open plan layout don't they

mrmattybeck1 22-12-2015 11:58 AM

We seriously need a complete new layout plan :(

Cal. 22-12-2015 12:04 PM

Didn't we have one for BB16?

Cal. 22-12-2015 12:05 PM

But closed off stairs yes. Evictions don't have any tension to them otherwise. CBB17 will be the worst for it considering the sofas are at the very foot of the stairs.

Jason. 22-12-2015 12:11 PM

I'd love an outdoor lounge like BB6 and 10. And an isolated staircase. But they'll never bring back an isolated staircase ever. Even if it was still on C4 in 2016, they wouldn't even have one. </3

I'd also like if they managed to change the house layout each year instead of every other year. Like C4 did. Especially with having 3 series a year, having the same house layout for two years is just awful. The BB14 house layout being used for 6 series (BB14-CBB15) was just...wrong. If they have the time to change the house decor completely for January CBB/what they managed to do in 6 weeks to the BB16 house for CBB16, I don't see why they can't put the effort into having an overhaul every summer and making the house layout unrecognizable from the previous.

Cal. 22-12-2015 12:14 PM

It's probably a money thing. But I wouldn't mind them keeping the summer CBB house the same if it meant we got a new layout every year.

Cal. 22-12-2015 12:16 PM

An outdoor lounge yes<3

I'd imagine the isolated staircase isn't used anymore for live show production reasons. C5 have endless amounts of six person finals/double evictions so people leaving quickly is the desired outcome. C4 ones were more tense and people took their time.

Well yeah they would have to because I doubt they'll be able to rip the whole house apart in a few weeks.

I don't mind having the same layout for 3 series - Civilian BB, the summer CBB that follows, and the January CBB the following year. Then they change it again for the Civilian BB the next year. Rinse and repeat. That sort of thing.

That's true. But it'll work for all the secret rooms they have lol.

No I meant if it saved them money I wouldn't mind them not doing anything to the summer CBB house other than cleaning up/changing the bed sheets ect. Usually they change one room at least.

Cal. 22-12-2015 12:21 PM

What a stupid man you are!

Yeah I get what you mean. My mistake

Yeah I agree. The summer CBB house could be similar to what C4 used to do to their Civilian BB houses for their CBB's in January. And only change it minimally like the bed sheets and adding a few heated seats etc to make it more upmarket idk.

The changes they made for BB15 from BB14 were really bad, the bedroom didn't suite being in the old bathroom, far too small for 16 people to sleep in together.

It did make the house look bigger though as it was on the other side of the house.

I liked the bathroom though were the old bedroom was in BB15.

I wonder if there change it little for BB17, maybe inclose some areas off in the main living area with a wall (separate rooms.)

I liked to see them put the bathroom at the back of the current bedroom, and have the bedroom curve round into where the bathroom is.
