...I hope they get it sorted out and are able to go...but yeah, the children are from 8yrs old, I would be heartbroken to not be going with them, seeing their faces at Disneyworld at Christmas time etc and that whole magic, if I were their mum...such a special time and experience for our children...

Imagine paying 9 grand for a family holiday to America and arriving at the airport and being told you can't get on the flight, If that happened to me, I would be SO humiliated and disgusted!!!!

We have not enough info to comment on the refused entry part. America is very strict with who it lets in tbh. Mind its a bit strange that they were granted visas, and then refused? Maybe told a white lie on applying for the visa ;)

Yes, you're right and I think that they should be much more lenient with who can enter the USA!!

I think it is just an absolute bloody disgrace that they can ban whomever they wish to, and unfortunately that can mean INNOCENT people, that is completely wrong and unethical!! ONLY BAN THE GENUINE TERROR THREATS!!!!!

These idiots should get their act together, do their jobs properly and focus only on those who are trying to enter the country illegally, banning innocent people from entering the USA should stop because they don't realise that THEY are embarrassing not only the innocent people they ban but themselves as well.

not really, we take in more people than almost any other country. I think only France has more foreign visitors per year than the US.

By this I mean even for a holiday you need to be pre-cleared..not anything against it. Just that its well known that it is more paperwork and such to have a holiday in America than most other places :p

I think it wise to let the full facts emerge before throwing out accusations such as 'Racist' and 'Discrimination' in outraged knee-jerk reaction.

I am not saying that this unfortunate family have done anything wrong, or that a system which allows them to get as far as they did, then stops them is not a faulty one, but only that it is folly to rant and level accusations of 'Racism' at members until the full picture emerges.

To me - and my faulty old logical mind - it is the very fact that this family in particular have been stopped out of - - presumably -- hundreds of other USA bound Muslims which suggests that maybe, just maybe, the multi-billion dollar American Security Services, and perhaps, their British counterpart, might just have some very valid reasons for this seemingly outrageous action.

Further - and I am NOT saying this is the case here - if me and my mate were about to travel from the UK to the USA to link up with US domiciled covert Jihadists to bring Christmas misery and tragedy to unsuspecting innocent civilians -- taking our children as cover is EXACTLY what I would do.

Closer to home, wily shoplifters use their little tots as cover to shoplift.

Banning someone from entering the USA for no reason whatsoever is completely cruel and unethical (especially towards children) and needs to stop. America is WAY too protective of their borders.

This is a clear breach of human rights and must stop immediately. Hearing news like this just makes me so sick in the stomach!! I wish this rubbish could stop!!!
