We can reveal that one celebrity asked to leave the Big Brother house every night to stay in a hotel nearby.

Another asked TV chiefs to guarantee they would get a decent meal every day even if the gang lost tasks and were put on basic rations when the series starts next week.

And two stars are apparently so obsessed with Twitter they asked to be allowed to take their phones into the house so they could carry on tweeting.

Channel 5 chiefs admit they were stunned by the requests. A source said: “One celeb thought the show is only filmed in the daytime and so they could pop off to a hotel at night.

“The same celebrity was asked to do the jungle this year and wanted the same thing!

“Another told producers he couldn’t survive on sludge and beans and wanted to come to the Diary Room in secret and have burger and chips without anyone knowing.”

Among other wacky requests, one star wanted a daily call home to speak to her pets, another wanted a daily lie-in until 11am and a third asked for “private time’’ in the Diary Room to pen a blog.

Among those tipped to be taking part in CBB are Towie’s Gemma Collins, EastEnders stars Danniella Westbrook and John Partridge, Hollyoaks wild child Steph Davies, Sven Goran Eriksson’s former love Nancy Dell’Olio.

Remember when they let a 'celebrity' leave the house to do x factor rehearsals without any of us knowing... I can believe that these requests were made, I just hope for the sake of BB none of them were met
