I don't see a problem with it. As long as it's not in amongst loads of text speech then I can't see any issue.

It's clear what the person means when the say cuz with the context it is in.

I think using "cuz" is fine in certain circumstances. It's a shortened version of because, if it was used in a sentence like "wot u bn up2 2dai m8 cuz I'm bord" then I would understand. If it's just in a sentence like "I can't be bothered with cleaning today cuz I've been so tired. Then I really don't see a massive issue.

Sometimes it just comes out without people thinking.
