New Years Dinner

What do you all do for New Years day/dinner?

Ive mentioned this before and I know a lot don't see New Years Day as a celebraton but it's huge in Scotland, in fact a lot of Scottish will be drinking from yesterday right through to tomorrow.

We have a family dinner, this year we are having traditional steak pie and also roast beef and gammon with all the trimmings then later tonight we set lanterns off into the sky for our loved ones that are no longer with us.

We are having a roast beef and roast pork dinner with all the trimmings

Roast beef dinner.
More or less a normal Sunday roast, might throw a few extra trimmings in.

so I don't eat my words from my last peace - I am not going to over indulge - what ever the waiter brings me I will eat - as long as I don't have to cook it.

staying off sushi for a while - I am sure I got crabs :joker:

Christmas dinner with the half price turkey crown I bought on Boxing Day :smug:

Daniel-X 01-01-2016 12:44 PM

We're having chilli con carne.

We treat it the same as Christmas. We have a traditional roast. Think we're having lamb and beef instead of turkey.

We had a drink last night and we let off lanterns at midnight.

We always do, i actually enjoyed my New Years dinner more than my Xmas dinner, i felt more love for New Year than Christmas this year, that's a first as i don't normally bother with New Year, but for some reason New Year meant more to me than Xmas.

It wasn't bad, just meh, i've just been looking online at holidays over next Christmas as a means of getting out of Christmas 2016

I just don't get Christmas and can see in the future me not celebrating Christmas, i think New Years makes more sense to me, for some reason Christmas doesn't sit right with me anymore, i think i'd much rather have a holiday and spend time with my hubby and girls and leave all the commercialism behind! Bah humbug!!!:hehe:
