Have we ruined CBB ????
 

BB and CBB were both a bi product of an idea someone had concerning the social interaction we got when 15 or so individuals were thrown into a house and situations were allowed to develop by designed interaction through starvation, tasks, race, gender and all manner of different things afoot.

In the past the format was twisted and massaged to irk the interaction side of things and mayhem and social experiments ended up in tatters which gave us our entertainment. Silly thing is that it isn't BB or CBB that has gone downhill, ITS US THAT HAVE RUINED IT.

Why is this......well its simple......Matters regarding what is or is not acceptable these days in our modern PC society are mapping the success of said programmes. What are they ???????

1. The vast majority of the GBP want the sex to flourish in the house, yet we are now highly critical of how this happens. So we cant wish for one thing and put a rule book and a set of guidelines on the table that governs how the act should be performed. That would be silly as true acts of love are formed over longer periods than the programme allows, hence the faux romances for mag deals.

2. I influx of designer dickheads like Speidi and Perez have winkled their way into our society and when these fools infiltrate a programme like CBB or BB, the fights and situations become scripted and false, but the outcomes are revered by those baying for blood at any cost.

3. Gender issues are now very PC sensitive, so when we look at the viewer demographic, we get many different views and opinions from everyone across the board, from chavs, gays, straights, old and the plain daft. These views are never ever right or wrong, they are opinions on life that are viewed differently by everyone concerned. Casing point this year is that it seems the majority of the younger viewer and forum warriors think that Scotty is hilarious but that Winston is a pervert. Both are disgusting but nobody can agree whats right.

4. Issues of gender are overly sensitive in regards to situations on the show. In more recent times the forums went into meltdown when Kellys issues were discussed but we were more tolerant in times gone by when Nadia cropped up and dating further back they simply didn't make the programme. These days the platform for voicing opinions on all things concerning gender issues is not only built, it is promoted as a solid footing in our society

5. What can and cant be said id shrouded in mystery and misunderstood except when it can be used to drive a point home. Not so long ago race was never an issue and the Golliwog graced our breakfast tables with affection and golliwog dolls were given to kids of all races, nowadays fairy tales are outlawed as offensive and people like Ken Morley are branded as tyrants when they mention the N word.

6. Several years ago we laughed uncontrollably at Danny Larue and Dame Edna was a firm household favourite. These days people like Rylan can get away with homosexual innuendos and straight people are regarded as perverts if they were to do the same. The system allows Blacks to call other blacks ******* and its funny, Michele Visage can call gays queers and its acceptable but she is straight. Gay men can and do call other gay men raving ***** but its not acceptable for a straight man to do it even though he may be a closet queen and the act of an older man chasing a younger woman is regarded as perverted unless of course he has loads of money then its encouraged by the very type of women that pursue these men for their own means.

In short, our views these days are so shrouded in mystery and subterfuge that we have lost sight of the true values we call entertainment. CBB is a show that will bring out the worst in people because they are under stress and we and the shows producers know that, so why are we surprised when the **** hits the fan. Its only human nature to act like that in a fish bowl but should we not be more tolerant in our views, or maybe if we cant, maybe we should just simply be told to switch off if we cant tolerate it.

CBB is being ruined by us and our overly politically correct views, not the antics of the shows ensemble. Its a show that's designed to get our juices flowing and being overly sensitive on all these contrived issues are ruining the show.

Well thank you my dear but in essence and truth, its what we all think anyway, but feel embarrassed to discuss. These are the views of Millions, not just me. Its only the overly sensitive in our community that will dis it. I wonder who will defend or dis it, that may be more interesting than the post itself, lol.

I agree that to some degree the public do complain about some odd **** on BB, I mean a Housemate only has to sneeze by somebody else and they're a hate figure, however I feel that on the other side the production do like to have a load of hate figures in the series so their desired winner wins by being the only "saint" left in the house, or they're the "biggest character" can be another way to get their chosen one to win too.

So what I'm basically saying is that like with every Reality Show, it's part the public's fault for hating anything remotely interesting or different, and part the productions fault for keep wanting it to happen.

But i disagree, i firmly believe its the influx of reality stars and pish poor managment that ha ruined the show..

ruined the show? we're all still watching and posting about it. if they really ruined it we wouldn't be here. the pc police have gone too far though, a lot to do with the media paying too much attention to twitter/facebook...etc...

Chuff, I chose to live in the past, that's why I get into so much trouble but the past is a nice place to be. Stuff these PC idiots.

I don't care if people think I am wrong for not liking the man on man action stuff, I don't care to buy into the infiltration of our shores by people that choose not to observe our values, I don't care if a black man sits next to me as long as he sees himself as an equal and not someone that needs to be treated any different to my white mates, I don't even care if idiots like Rylan prance around like women as long as they don't involve me or comment on my dislike of their actions. I don't even care if my MP takes offence when I call him a parasite because I have never voted or buy into why they are allowed to shape my life when I didn't invite them to. I don't even care if people are unemployed as long as they try to get work as I will support them in the meantime, but please don't ask me to slap a benefit cheat on the back and say well done mate, especially after I am paying for him to feed his habit. I don't even care if all the dole scroungers down the dole office have new I phones or smoke like troupers but please don't ask me to pity them when their kids get ignored and they get into bother because of it.

It would appear that my views are being well received elsewhere, maybe this forum has a different criterium the show is judged by. I like the mix of opinions on here and even if we are regarded by others as being overly PC orientated towards certain issues, I still like the way things are done on here and coming from someone that's been banned and infracted more than most, I believe that tibb is a fun place to be.
