Take no notice of Social media
For years now all we hear is that the opinions on social media say this and that and it has been used as the bible of opinions in all things considered relevant. Now all of a sudden when social media foes not support the views of the volatile and aggrieved minority, its now a stupid medium driven by cat ladies. I just love the irony of that.
The overwhelming support for the inane way CBB crucified Winston is being poo poo-ed by the very people that use it as the Wikipedia of all things great and true. This is not to be confused with the outrage of what Winstons personal views are, they are getting hammered, but the way he was treated is far more in favour of the crappy way he was treated. |
cheers for the thread
I simply said that I don't feel that facebook is the best medium to judge on a consensus regarding a tv show. People on FB, off Facebook, on Twitter, on online newspaper articles are always going to share their views. 100 people say one thing whilst another 100 could think the complete opposite. Many have expressed their support for Winston/their dismay at how the incident was treated, whilst others have expressed the complete opposite. |

I stopped reading at "minority"

What exactly makes you think it's a minority that was against Winston's views?

Social media is generally vastly wrong when it comes to majority opinion. On BB anyway.
It is funny how it is brought up as proof someone is popular if it suits, or proof that someone is not, if it suits etc...but all other times it should be ignored. |
