Kristina under attack over pregnancy announcement
 

Kristina Rihanoff has been branded a 'desperate homewrecker' after her Celebrity Big Brother pregnancy announcement.

Kirstina's boyfriend is of course Ben Cohen, her former Strictly celebrity partner.

The pair's relationship has been the topic of countless press stories with claims Ben left his wife Abby and their two children for Kristina, however the new couple insist their relationship only started after his marriage was over.

Meanwhile, former BB housemate Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace was rather more vocal.

In her Big Brother column for the Daily Mirror newspaper, she wrote: "A new life is always something to be celebrated. I just feel sorry for her partner’s estranged wife and twin girls. Yep, I said it. I don't like desperate homewreckers."

Ouch!

Also Speaking to the Daily Mirror, Ben's ex-wife Abby said yesterday that the news had "shocked" them all.

She added: "Please respect mine and my children’s privacy at this time.”

Should have told the children etc. privately before making the announcement on NTV.

Yes,I agree what a nasty thing to do,all some people care about id themselves and how they feel,this put me off her big time,

I think its an absolute disgrace tbh if the wife and kids didn't know about it and she announced it on TV. Totally insensitive and attention seeking.

It's pretty disgraceful tbh, Ben should be ashamed of himself.

Maybe the wife did know, I don't tend to believe stories from a woman scorned. And if she didn't know, Ben Cohen isn't in the house and he's known about the pregnancy since Christmas so why didn't he tell his ex-wife and children? I don't see that it's Kristina's responsibility but it's interesting that it's she who is taking the flak.

This is one of the main reasons I have never liked Kristina the three men who she went off with were all married or had partners. Kristina had only one reason for telling the housemates, she was up for eviction and said the public wouldn't evict a pregnant woman. She was of course right but it also more or less guaranteed she wont be nominated either by the others. She is pregnant after all """"""

She is taking the flack as she is the one who is on the show, and the one who actually announced it on TV... its not like they are both there and shes the only one getting grief for it :laugh:

So what she announced it on TV? She's not the one who was married it's not her responsibility to run stuff by his ex-wife. They've been together over two years now, enough time for his ex to come to terms with it, just like hundreds of thousands of people do every year.

Meh maybe..I just found it really insensitive. And it is much worse if the ex wife and the other children didn't know too :shrug: yes he is worse (I was going to sad as bad, but its much worse) but he is not the one who has put himself up for public scrutiny by doing the show :laugh:

The statement made by the wife makes it look as if there has been a sudden death in the family.
They split up a fair time ago now didn't they, I should imagine the kids will have got to know Kristina as their dads partner so it is not exactly devastating news for them...unless a scorned parent wants it to be of course.
In an ideal world they would have told the kids first, but maybe they had reasons god not doing so,, with Kristina going in the house etc..who knows:shrug:

Agree with all that Smudgie. Actually, if I was the ex-wife I'd be delighted! Two years of loved-up bliss about the be brought to a shuddering halt with the arrival of a screaming baby, pooping and crying and keeping you up all night, and the baby weight and the bags under the eyes... etc. etc.

That's true, but did you notice how annoyed she looked to be labelled a homewrecker.
Announcing it like that without Abby and her children knowing first was a horrible and thoughtless thing for Kristina to do. I still think her timing was opportune, just when she'd been nominated. Horrible woman, hope she's next to go.

a) she wasn't the one who had an affair b) there are a whole bunch of 12-week symptoms of pregnancy that would be kind of irresponsible for her to have waited any longer to tell a group of people she's living around 24/7 (given she wouldn't be drinking, would probably want more sleep and other reasons she could get nominated for)
