Netflix to stop VPN - Of couse they must

Video-streaming giant Netflix
has said it is going to stop subscribers
from using internet proxies to view
content not available in their home countries.

Due to licensing agreements, Netflix content varies between countries - many users have a virtual private network (VPN) or other proxy to get round this.
The firm said it would increase efforts in the next few weeks to block the use of such proxies.

Bye bye to my subscription then, their UK horror section is pretty dire so I'll cancel and not even pay the £5.99 - I'll watch the streams online instead for free

Apparently the Austrlian Netflix is terrible.

I can't imagine that they'll try too hard, they're likely just paying lip service to appease the studios. It's like ISPs that are meant to send out warning letters and take measures against customers that download films and such, they never actually do it because it risks alienating their customers.
