Does Channel 5 BB need more late entrants?
 

In the later years of C4 BB, late entrants become a staple and in BB8/BB10/BB11 it felt like new housemates were entering every week. Do you think that Channel 5 BB needs more late entrants per series or do you like they fact they only stick to a few per series? (BB12 and BB13 only having 1, BB14 having none, BB15 having 3 and BB16 having 4 as opposed to 8/9 late entrants per series in the later C4 days)

Yeah, but not too many. The amount we had in BB7-11 got ridiculous. Especially in BB8.

and I want them to enter the normal way too. I've noticed every newcomer on C5 has entered as part of some sort of twist which annoys me. Just have a normal eviction and leave room at the end of the show for the newcomers to come out of the eye and enter the house with their VT being shown etc.

One production picked newcomer should enter every Friday night for the first 5 weeks imo

That's the one thing that Ch5 shouldn't change as Ch4 would ruin their series in the second half by turning it into a brand new Big Brother.

It would work well and ensure there were lots of good housemates left. And if the newbies weren't good they would just protect the originals from eviction (which I'm pretty sure is what C4 used to do anyway)

3rd Newcomer - Day 22
4th Newcomer - Day 29
5th Newcomer - Day 36

I'd say that it needs a new production team first and foremost, but I wouldn't object to more latecomers if they don't put loads of housemates in on launch night.

I've ruined my own thread.

Well first of all, we could wish C5 would launch a Civilian BB on Friday again for those days to correlate (Day 8,15,22 etc). And I get where you're coming from, but dripping them in one by one every week is just messy. And 5 is way too many for a 9-10 week series given we usually get 16 housemates at Launch. And Week 1-2 is too early for newcomers as it's just too soon and we're still getting to know the originals. By Week 3-4, it feels more fresh putting 3 new ones in. Anything after Week 5 is too late, unless it's a 11-13 week series. With BB15 having the newbies enter a month before the final was too late I found, they should've entered around Matthew's eviction.

I miss the days when we'd get three newbies in week 3 and then another five around week 5/6 in a twist (like the HND), so I'd say yes
