This years ugliest moment

When Gemma treated a none house mate like sh-t

Not content to be pampered and have the full attention of a stylist. Not content to be given special dispensation the others don't get. Not content to be on TV and gaining further exposure for her career. The bitch can only be happy with her own good luck if, at the same time, she can be instrumental in bringing bad luck to someone else
That guy was just doing his job. To diminish him on public television like that. To criticise his technique like that. To imply he is no good at his job.
What a terrible thing to do to someone...he's not a celebrity, he's not a house mate. He hasn't signed up to play those games. He's a guy trying to earn a living and forge a career for himself.
This was probably the guys lucky break. Watching her attack his integrity and reputation was the lowest point she's reached and I can't see any defence for her behaviour not matter how hard I try. We are talking about a mans livelihood, he may even have a family.

Gemma or GC, seems it makes no difference does it ? ....it is not a character or a performance, she clearly treats civilians with the same appalling disregard ...she is just not a nice human being.

I wanted to post this yesterday but I was banned for 24 hours....for, surprise surprise, observing hypocrisy

Uglier than thou

For me this year's ugliest moments were Tiffany saying she wouldn't apologise to that old bitch after the Davids dead incident and groping Scotty T in the shower.

MrWong 26-01-2016 08:18 AM

This years ugliest moment was when Winston gathered all the housemates together an then attempted to justify his bigoted views.

And you know what, till this incident with Gemma yesterday I thought exactly the same...and I agree with you completely, I still am seething angry by the way Angie was treated that day....I was very vocal about it at the time ...but I really genuinely try to see two sides to each thing that happens and even though I can't respect Tiffanys behaviour at all...I do think she was in complete shock the same as Angie, they we're both in shock and both believed someone had died ...but while the others comforted Angie they actually were attacking Tiffany...
She's a stupid woman and should have realised David wasn't dead but i sympathise with her in that moment because that really was her truth in that moment, she did believe David had died...
Tiffany was bang out of order but she was on the defence because she was being attacked....it part explains her actions....and when she did apologise it was far later than it should have been but it was heart felt and genuine. I don't think Tiffany has a bad heart.

But I can see no reason for Gemmas appalling treatment of that guy...none....she wasn't being attacked, she wasn't being defensive, she was just being a mean, nasty bully....again....he had no power to stop her and she knew it....what can he have possibly done in the brief time he met her to justify her wanting to damage his reputation like that ? I just can't see two sides to that story.....i think she has a cold heart and is truly an unpleasant person.

waterhog 26-01-2016 08:33 AM

the way gemma spoke to the make up person - that was it for me.

it clearly says more about gemma then any words or poems.

downfall is on the way.

That was truly the pits...but as stupid as he is, his beliefs are his truth and he was standing up for what he believes in....and the others being attacked were a strong and tight group so there was no isolation of one person taking place...I am not defending what he is, I can't, he disgusts me , but I am seeing his side and understanding his motives even though I don't agree with them...same as Tiffany...she was wrong in her beliefs, she thought David was dead, but that was her truth in that moment so I understand her actions...

But what possible reason could Gemma have for doing that to that guy ? There is no motive ? Just the cold hard cruel attacking of someone...If she thought he was gay and she was homophobic it would make more sense, because it would explain her twisted mind, there would be a motive, same as Winstons....or if she hated ginger people there would be a motive.....but there ain't one.....she just attacks defenceless people and there is no motive other than hate.

To bring in Tiffanys behaviour or Winstons behaviour does not detract from this situation with Gemma...all three situations are extremely bad....but the only one who has no reason at all for their actions is Gemma.

And surprisingly when both the Winston and the Tiffany situations took place people were outraged for days yet when Gemmas situation took place it didn't create a big response.

Tiffs reaction to realising she had made a fool of herself

Instead of thinking about Angie and the death of a legend she just thought of herself

ugly, ugly, ugly

But this is a thread about Gemma and her treatment of the stylist.....I totally agree with You about Tiffany...but that is old news and it's been covered already, many times, by many people, myself included....I am not a Tiffany fan...never was....but please either ignore my thread, or contribute to the subject of it or go and start your own thread if you want to rake over the Tiffany story again....please show some respect

Sorry but imo Gemma being a diva with the hairdresser doesn't even come close to a bigot desperately trying to justify his outdated, offensive and nasty views.

Well done....you're good...very....and of course I should not assume that what I see as my lowest point is the same as someone else's....of course Winston has appalling views but he believes them, that in no way justifies them but it explains his actions ....just like Tiffanys actions that day can be explained, right or wrong....but I can't explain Gemmas actions....I'm sorry, but I can't, so it makes her seem sociopathic ...maybe you can enlighten me, please do, I am trying hard to understand her you see

I can't understand, support or agree with Winstons beliefs but I understand his actions ....but I just don't understand her actions, why she would do that ?

jet 26-01-2016 09:47 AM

Perhaps you missed the hairdresser smiling to himself and trying not to laugh. Gemma was hamming it up for our entertainment - he knew it and almost certainly a lot of the viewing public knew it. She tries to make certain scenes amusing - but unfortunately not everyone realizes this as we all don't have the same sense of humour. I would say 100% she wanted that segment to be show, and warned him she was going to act up the diva role. She IS a reality show veteran after all.
You are taking it far too seriously - and I can't believe you think that it was worse than Winston being a bigoted homophobe.

"But he believes them" doesn't explain his actions either. He has a ****ing brain. He can read peer reviewed scientific studies on homosexual parenting when compared to heterosexual parenting. He can read stories of happy families with homosexual parents.

Even when asked to explain his beliefs he can't. His way of thinking, equating gay adoption to child abuse, is vile but could easily be reversed if he'd open his mind a little.

Gemma being rude to the hairdresser doesn't even come close to this years ugliest moment imo.

What a shame, you don't understand what I am asking you....you appear to think that I some how support Winston and you're wrong I don't...I think he should be shot......I am gay...
the ugly scene we had to watch in the house was him being exposed as a homophobic bigot ...followed by scenes of the other housemates challenging him....it was fascinating and it was ugly and it was a very important piece of television....I understood what I was watching and how it had come to take place..this isnt about endorsing his beliefs or about supporting Tiffanys treatment of Angie, it is about how I understand what is taking place and how it came to blows with both incidents....
But I don't understand how that situation with Gemma took place,..she had no motive, she had no beliefs, be they right or wrong, and she had no reason...she wasn't being attacked so was not having to be defensive....
The question I asked was could you explain that to me ? But sadly all you say is she was being a Diva....I thought that GC was when she was with the other housemates, and that when meeting normal people who are not contestants in the show, that she is then Gemma..the lovely nice Gemma that we're always told about....but she treated the guy appallingly and was not kind or nice at all....

Jarvio 26-01-2016 10:07 AM

Let's just face it, they're all dickheads

No I don't :conf:

Your thread title asks about this years ugliest moment. I gave what I think is this years ugliest moment.

The situation with Gemma came about because she was being a diva. Even if she had no reason for it, it still wouldn't be the ugliest moment this year.

THIS

I honestly couldnt believe she got away with her behaviour and was let off so easily by the HMs she behaved appallingly

Closely followed by Winston and his frankly sickening opinions
