Gemma Attacks a None House Mate

When Gemma treated a none house mate like sh-t

Not content to be pampered and have the full attention of a stylist. Not content to be given special dispensation the others don't get. Not content to be on TV and gaining further exposure for her career. The bitch can only be happy with her own good luck if, at the same time, she can be instrumental in bringing bad luck to someone else
That guy was just doing his job. To diminish him on public television like that. To criticise his technique like that. To imply he is no good at his job.
What a terrible thing to do to someone...he's not a celebrity, he's not a house mate. He hasn't signed up to play those games. He's a guy trying to earn a living and forge a career for himself.
This was probably the guys lucky break. Watching her attack his integrity and reputation was the lowest point she's reached and I can't see any defence for her behaviour not matter how hard I try. We are talking about a mans livelihood, he may even have a family.

Gemma or GC, seems it makes no difference does it ? ....it is not a character or a performance, she clearly treats civilians with the same appalling disregard ...she is just not a nice human being.

MrWong 26-01-2016 09:33 AM

It really wasn't that deep.

Yes she was being a massive diva, telling him what to do. He laughed on a couple of occasions.

If this was his lucky break can you tell me what career highs other hairdressers have had since appearing briefly on BB/CBB?

Crimson Dynamo 26-01-2016 09:35 AM

non-housemate

:hee:

Cherie 26-01-2016 09:36 AM

Bitchiness directed by the producers no doubt :idc:

luvjustin 26-01-2016 09:49 AM

He did a **** job. He didn't do what she asked for. Not being able to interpret your clients wishes makes you a bad hairdresser. It doesn't matter if it was free or not.

Marsh. 26-01-2016 10:01 AM

Does it count as hairdressing when it's just straw glued to her head that he was trying to control?

jet 26-01-2016 10:05 AM

Why are there 2 threads on this by the same person with the same OP?

Perhaps you missed the hairdresser smiling to himself and trying not to laugh. Gemma was hamming it up for our entertainment - he knew it and almost certainly a lot of the viewing public knew it. She tries to make certain scenes amusing - but unfortunately not everyone realizes this as we all don't have the same sense of humour. I would say 100% she wanted that segment to be shown, and warned him she was going to act up the diva role. She IS a reality show veteran after all.
You are taking it far too seriously - and I can't believe you think that it was worse than Winston being a bigoted homophobe.

MTVN 26-01-2016 10:07 AM

I'm not sure he was laughing about it, seemed quite embarrassed to me

Northern Monkey 26-01-2016 10:12 AM

She was a dickhead.I'd have told her feck off and walked out if i was him.He genuinley would be a hero to the viewers if he'd have done that and made great telly.

2 threads ? Please ignore the first thread...I made an error with the title....it is my lowest point of the show not necessarily others peoples..

This thread is about the incident and not where it fits in the pecking order of bad taste....that was my mistake with the first thread and I apologise for that ....but this observation about Gemmas appalling behaviour towards that guy remains exactly the same.....and her reasons and motives also remain unanswered.... I would imagine there are no or very few viewers who are NOT Gemma fans that will agree with your explanation above....sorry, just don't think it works
What took place with Winston and what took place with Tiffany and Angie I understood...not understood their principles but understood what I was watching on my screen....I was able to be objective even though I despised the guy, I understood that he believed what he was saying, even though he was totally wrong....but I don't understand what I was watching with Gemma if it wasn't what it appeared to be and that was just the vindictive, spiteful, selfish treatment of a non house guest who was just doing his job.
At what point does being a Diva not excuse her behaviour ? Surely that point is when she is being served by someone from outside of the house and being treated with respect by them.

They probably wouldn't agree if they aren't fans. :hehe: That's par for the course. But for those that get her, it is plausible, because she's been acting up the diva role throughout the whole show. I'm not saying she is never being herself, but I think with veteran reality stars the lines get blurred between who they really are and the hugely exaggerated version they have to portray continually to keep viewers riveted and tuning in to their show - and I think Gemma is an ideal example of this. Her main focus on CBB has been to entertain us with the diva role. I think this is quite obvious so the incident with the hairdresser wasn't a biggie. To say she was being vindictive and spiteful is way over the top tbh. If you had said RUDE, then fair enough, but VINDICTIVE and SPITEFUL - that's just pure hyperbole.
Imo you need some of that objectivity you were willing to give to the awful Winston.

Kazanne 26-01-2016 12:00 PM

I felt a bit sorry for that guy,it must have been a bit humiliating for him,Gemma is just one of those people who think they are above everyone, but in reality she is selfish, self abdorbed hypocrite.I can see why some people like her ,but I am not one of them .

Also I have never accused you of sympathising with Winston, you said yourself that you were able to be objective about his views, and I was simply suggesting you apply some objectivity to Gemma's behaviour.
As for not liking you, that is nonsense. I don't know you. I find you an interesting poster who starts some good debates, but maybe you some take things too seriously?

Sorry I am mistaken...I have you mixed up with someone else....I have been so embroiled with the attempts of people today trying to turn my views about Gemma into my support of Winston it's made me lose track with who I am defending myself against ..... some posts get so sabotaged by distractions and it steers the topic away from the original topic....that seems to be happening today....I can't apologise enough, please accept my apologies.

Apology accepted - no worries.

I don't think Collins needs any help from producers to be bitchy. According to some who have 'worked' with her on Towie, she treats everyone as if they are staff.

what exactly was he being asked to do??

blow dry a handful of extensions??

blow dry FAKE HAIR???

A hairdresser is there to make you look better and unfortunately for this poor guy, the only way he could have done that would have been to stick her in a burkha!

GiRTh 26-01-2016 05:33 PM

I'm surprised more people didnt pick up on this at the time.

I very much doubt Gemma Collins knows more about hairdressing than a professional stylist so I found her attitude quite condescending in telling him what to do.

not sure if Gemma was playing hte diva for the camera. IF so then she plays that character alot. Lets see the real Gemma instead of the GC. i.
