..yeah, I saw this on the internet the other day...what do you reckon Arista..?...do you think it's genuine..?...it just seems odd that the bar code was ruined, everything in the date was ruined other than the 16 of 2016...and all numbers intact..if it is genuine, pretty awful for her now in trying to have it verified...

Yes could be as the Shop Owner sold her that ticket

But no Barcode
not sure the "legal side" to that.
Barcode is on the Bottom of it
so I could see Soap Suds attacking it.

And of course 50 or 60 others then said there's went through the washing?
Pathetic Scams#wasting Camelot time.

Marsh. 27-01-2016 08:20 AM

Bollocks.

Just so happens only the most important of information (except for the bar code) survived? :joker:

Jog on.

Marsh. 27-01-2016 08:20 AM

But surely they'd be able to verify via other means to see which shop she bought it from, what time etc?

..isn't it the barcode that they use to identify where the tickets are bought and that's not identifiable...?...

I don't know tbh.

I thought in some cases the shop held records of tickets they'd sold and they could look for CCTV of her being at that shop on a particular day.

I'm not au fait with stuff like that. But with £33 million at stake. :omgno:

smudgie 27-01-2016 09:04 AM

Sorry, I can't get past the 'mutton dressed as lamb' thought in my head.

Imagine her with 33 million. :omgno:

I was thinking this. Surely it would be quite easy to just check the cctv for the day/time she bought the ticket

MTVN 27-01-2016 09:19 AM

But if she's smart she might have bought a losing ticket for this draw and then afterwards bought this ticket once she knew the winning numbers. CCTV of her buying a lottery ticket wouldn't prove that it was the winning one she was buying.

Not sure a shop would keep track of all the different tickets they sold either

..yeah this exactly is what I meant by needing the barcode to identify the ticket as the winning one and it's unidentifiable as such...it would be such an obvious thing to do the numbers after the event and then set it all up with the washing machine thing because obviously it would be January 2016/those numbers etc....I know because I've tried it lots of times myself with unclaimed lottery tickets ....

..I would have said dumb actually, it's a bit of an obvious one but truly awful for her if it's all genuine....

Was thinking it was pretty genius myself, might give it a go in a few months once the dust has settled with this story and everyone's forgotten about it

....I taught you well, there are much better ways of paying off uni fees, than finding a silly job..

..I can't help thing though that she could be genuine because it's a huge risk that the genuine ticket wouldn't turn up quite quickly/before she would have time to spend any and then she would be prosecuted surely and a chance of a prison sentence.. maybe someone would think that worth the risk for so much money...

Josy 27-01-2016 10:20 AM

Just give her the money so she can buy some clothes

Tom4784 27-01-2016 11:16 AM

I actually know her, she's a mess (if you couldn't tell from the pictures)
