That £12 photo - Alex Sibley clears it up

or does he?

He posted this in the DS forum

"Let me clear this up.

We had friends come to see my family. They had a 9 year old girl who loves The Only Way Is Essex. I said that we actually live near all the shops and sugar hut. As a young girl she wanted to know if we could go. So i went with her Mum ,stepdad to be, and sister with my daughter.
We had lunch at Sugar Hut which was actually quite nice. We went to all the shops owned but he TOWIE lot. One was Gemma Collin's shop and she was in also. Gemma was the girl's favourite TOWIE character and said to me if i could come with her to get a picture. I said just go and ask for one, I'm sure she will have one taken with you. I have done so many in the past with fans. She went in with her step dad to be. They both came out and she had a huge smile on her face. The stepdad said to me that cost me £15 (not £12 as I thought until i was corrected this morning) as Gemma Collins said i had to buy something first. The cheapest thing was a crap tea cup with Essex written on.
Now we all said, if we knew we had to pay, we wouldn't have gone in there but when a 9 year old girl goes in and really wants a picture, you can't turn them down. Most girls want a pony and this is cheaper. Imagine if we told Gemma to go fu@k herself in front of the kid which i think we could have rightly done.
A lot of people on twitter have said we were mugs for paying for a mug that cost £15 to get a picture.
One day, my daughter will twist my arm. Do you understand now why the fee was paid now?"

Perfectly clear. The money was not for the picture itself. I can understand her not wanting to spend all her time doing selfies when she is there to run a shop - that isn't doing great

£15 for a cup with Essex on it. :o

:nono: Then:

A) Buy some new stools.
B) Buy some wood glue and repair the loose ones
C) Sit on chairs.

I can't tbqh, she's a Reality Star, she has no real talent like proper celebrities have so she should be happy people want to get pictures taken with her. Bit of a ******ish thing to do to a 9 year old also

Unlike Gemma when she goes through those doors when she gets evicted.

Well, since her only claim to fame is claiming to be famous then she should be lapping up all this attention and be thanking her lucky stars people actually want a photo with her lazy, arrogant self :nono:

Did I read that right, Alex has a daughter? I never knew that.

alex_front2 28-01-2016 11:41 AM

Should a 9 year old be watching TOWIE?!

Actually I was thinking that too :/

billy123 28-01-2016 11:45 AM

She is still completely out of order to threaten to refuse a photo with a 9 year old fan unless her father bought something.
