Celebrity Big Brother's Jeremy apologises to Stephanie's boyfriend Sam Reece: "I'm sorry how it worked out"

Jeremy McConnell has made an on-air apology to Stephanie Davis's boyfriend Sam Reece.

Speaking on ITV's This Morning today, the evicted housemate admitted that it's not a great position for Sam to be in.

"The circumstances, obviously I wouldn't like to be in that position nor would anybody," he told Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.

"I'd like to think I have integrity. But to Sam, I'm sorry how it worked out."

Jeremy and Stephanie had grown attached to each other in the house, to the point where they started kissing and exchanging 'I love you's.

The Irish model previously told Digital Spy and other reporters that Stephanie had found "something better" than Sam.

"I 100% think if their relationship was stronger, nothing would have happened," he said. "Darren Day has a wife and Tiffany coming onto him - it's strong enough for him to back away.

"Obviously there were was chinks in the chain, and deep down she wasn't happy with him and she found something better."

Celebrity Big Brother airs nightly on Channel 5.

He gave a good interview......people generally seem to like him where ever he goes....he's is own man and that's my reason for liking him.

Pretty disgusting apology though to say on the one hand you're sorry but on the other "she found someone better" :/

SherzyK 01-02-2016 04:05 PM

Why was there any need to bring up that poor example about Darren and Tiffany? :/

Well he has made his apologies ....and she did find someone better, on that point I agree with him ...Jeremy reinforcing that to people will part explain her choices and her actions, help people to understand a bit better ....maybe that's why he's doing that.......I think he will def be campaigning on her behalf to change some people's perception of her....he may be saying it just to arrogant and thumb his nose at the guy but he's not given the impression so far that he is like that

Jake. 01-02-2016 04:24 PM

he's gross, she's gross and ultimately the more they excuse their cheating the more clear it becomes that they are made for eachother

Denver 01-02-2016 04:25 PM

I still can't @ people think Sam is innocent when he cheating on Steph so its just Karma

smudgie 01-02-2016 04:25 PM

Ahhhh, the money spinning has started.
Let's face it, without the triangle none of them would be worth more than fifty pence.:joker:

Shaun 01-02-2016 04:25 PM

Agreed with Niamh & Jake. But I really don't care about any of them.

Very big headed of him,I will laugh if she dumps him when she gets out and goes back to Sam

Jeremy on This Morning

Tom4784 01-02-2016 04:27 PM

They both benefit from it all so I'm guessing there's no real hard feelings there. This Sam chap seems to be a fame***** so I'm guessing he's loving the attention and Jeremy's not too sorry since he'll make some decent change from the showmance.

Jamie89 01-02-2016 04:28 PM

Call me cynical but it seems like more of a PR stunt for his reputation than it does a genuine apology. I mean, he didn't really apologise to Sam, he apologised to a TV camera. Also, the "she found something better" line... :laugh2:

Well he's said sorry, weather that's true I can't be totally sure....but he said she's found someone better and on that point I couldn't agree more.

It's a tough call for me, cause I know that if the boy friend was a nice bloke I wouldn't have sympathised so easily with Steph....but if he was a nice bloke she may not have been so attracted to someone who treated her properly

Hard for me to take offence at Jeremy cause I dislike the boy friend a lot and have no concern about how he feels...
If I liked him or I knew nothing about him I def couldn't be so objective about it....but having seen him on TV before, I can fully understand why all this as happened.

rusticgal 01-02-2016 04:43 PM

A shallow apology then.
Just say you are sorry...don't then go and dig the knife in.

Crimson Dynamo 01-02-2016 04:45 PM

:clap1: @ Jeremy being the bigger man. What happened happened and its time to move forward.

Embarrassing

Garfie 01-02-2016 04:50 PM

I don't approve of cheating at all, but in general I think Jeremy does come across as a likeable bloke.

He clearly felt embarrassed, guilty and nervous when he left the house and during his interviews. His embarrassment and awkwardness does make me think he feels bad about what has happened, whereas if he was arrogant, he wouldn't have looked so uncomfortable. I also get the impression he is genuine when he says he has completely fallen for Steph.

In his defence, he doesn't say she found someone better, but SOMETHING better; he does this after revealing that the relationship she was in had some problems. Therefore, the 'something better' is the relationship, rather than himself i.e. He will treat her better in a relationship than Sam did.

If he was talking about himself being better, that would be arrogant, but it is different altogether if he is talking about the relationship.

He still came on to her in the first place and then wouldn't take no for an answer. Some people are just weak and easily led, and it would seem Steph is one of those where emotions are concerned.

It's just not fair play, he is not a gentleman

I have a feeling she may, or whatever reality show she gets on next, do the same to him as she did to Sam.

TheElusiveChanteuse 01-02-2016 05:07 PM

He can't be that sorry otherwise he wouldn't have done what he did. There's a difference between developing feelings for someone and acting on them.
