Maurice White dies (Earth, Wind and Fire's founder)...
Earth, Wind & Fire star Maurice White has passed away at the age of 74.
The singer died in Los Angeles on Thursday morning following a long battle with Parkinson's disease. He was diagnosed in 1992 but his condition deteriorated recently, reports TMZ. In 1994 he was forced to stop touring with the US soul band, who had a string of hits including September, Boogie Wonderland, Fantasy, Shining Star, and After the Love Has Gone. He was a Drummer and was great on the African Kalimba Lead Co -Singer with Philip Bailey Many of Earth Wind and Fire CD's came out on 5.1 SACD Multi Channel which give the feel you are at their concerts. He played every type of music nothing was out of bounds. Great Music Great Band. Well worth watching them. All the Hard Work by Maurice is Still there. And up to May 1976 his Co-Producer Charles Stepney also put the Foundations down. Mega Heart Attack was a shock for them all sad loss. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Stepney [The 1976 song, "Spirit" was intended to uplift Stepney's spirit and to show all the gratitude that Earth, Wind & Fire had towards him. However, Stepney never got to hear the song. Maurice White spoke to Stepney on the afternoon of May 17, 1976, but later that day, Earth, Wind & Fire keyboardist Larry Dunn received a phone call, informing him that Charles Stepney had died of a heart attack.] |

Recorded 1979 http://www.hendrixguitars.com/Images/Lukather.jpg Features a Special Guest Young Steve Lukather on Extra Guitar. He gets the Riff at the end of this great Instrumental. It shows how Maurice was aware of all types of music around him in there Funky Start Decade |
