Anyone invited to London/Man auditions yet?
 

With applications having closed for another year at lunchtime today, has anyone actually received an invite to physically audition in London or Manchester yet?

There's not much of a gap between the closing date to apply and the actual genuine audition!

I applied and got a call back (lucky me) but not heard anything else since.

Any BB experts on here who can give a view on whether invites to London & Manchester are yet to be made?

Probably not just yet because applications have only just closed. If you don't hear anything back after around a week I'd give someone a call if you have contact details.

It will, alas, be the usual melange of screaming queens and chavs.

Those through to the next stage have been told today. If BB hasn't been in touch you didn't make it. Me included sadly! 😭

Does that include Manchester? As London is just few days away, but Manc is over a week?

I think so. I applied via a video and got a call a few weeks back. Had a 45 min telephone interview which seemed to go well and was advised to keep 20th Feb free. I stress - this was not a definite invite, just "keep free" comment. I was told not as many candidates as in previous years would go through to London and Manchester, as the executives were being "more picky."
I contacted the individual who I had been dealing with, and the email I got back simply said that all successful candidates through to the next round would find out today. Gutted to be honest!
Apparently the executives met on Monday and Tuesday to begin picking potential housemates - even though the deadline for applications had been extended to Tuesday lunchtime!!?? From my reply, seemingly invites went out today.

I hope you are right and that perhaps the response referred to London - but my gut instinct is that it was for both locations. As I say, gutted! 😢

I can't imagine they were all done today because they usually ring people - and most of the time thousands of people turn up to the call backs.

I was thinking that. Even if the phonecall only last a minute, and consists of "Hi Mildred, this is BB, still interested? Great, then come to this location at this time!", it would take about 16 hours of phonecalls to call one thousand people.

The BB person I was speaking with told me they are taking a different approach this time around from previous casting procedures. They idea is that with fewer people invited to London and Manchester, the executives get longer to assess each candidates personality.

I agree it does seem a ridiculously short gap between the closing date to apply and invites going out. So I hope you are right (about Manchester at least!)

I am here for this vigorously particular casting process though. Please be a good series :worry:
