Irrational aversions
 

What things get on your wick or scare the living shit out of you for reasons even you don't understand? Creeped out by certain numbers or do mushy peas make your stomach turn?

Snails. If I see one or even if somebody mentions them, I can't eat

I avoid foreign people in the street.

I was at the bus stop last week and then heard a Polish person speaking their native language behind me on the phone. I had a panic attack.

Spiders. I get weirdly emotional and upset over them if there's one near me or i've lost one in my room.

Ew yes to the mushy peas example, can't stand looking at them. But also cotton wool, makes me cringe just typing it :worry:

Pasta OMG i even hate looking at it , i did try it a few times but i just can't swallow it. It always looks pale and dying and its floppy with a most weird texture.

Liver

The least fave food thread reminded me :yuk:

I am very picky about the dates on food, if I found out I ate anything after the expiration date I will feel horrible. :(

I am always worried that milk will have chunks in it, I am terrified of that, so I can only have it in cereal or whatever, can't drink a glass of it any more.

Bits of food in the water when I am doing the dishes. :oh: It makes me want to hurl, I always try to rinse things to get loose food off before washing but the floaty demon food still finds a way.

Mushrooms, I despise those bastards. They are scary looking things as well.

Feet. They literally make me feel ill

People with the big gums and small teeth combo (lol), chipped plates/cups (not because of the germ aspect but because the noise when the chipped bit is scraped knocks me sick). Also I like cats but I don't like them "on me", something about their claws.

Oh my god I always stare at big gums, I feel so bad, but I can't stop myself. It's just gums like what the hell, why do my eyes even care so much??

...this, although I can eat thinner pasta like lasagne and over the last few years, small amounts of pasta in general so I may be over-coming that one..

...yep also..textures in general are the main thing, to eat and to touch..there are loads with food..mushrooms, any meat, bananas, although I love banana tasting things just not the actual fruit....and lots more...

Bridges and the word 'Belvedere'. I don't know why that particular word, but whenever I hear iot (not often thank goodness) I feel uneasy and anxious. Maybe a bit of race memory in play?

Mushrooms/feet

Mushrooms are so grim and slimey & I cannot stand when people are walking around in sandals with their janky toenails, and feet that smell :omgno:

Yellow crusty toenails. :yuk:
