Les Revenants (The Returned)
 

Has anyone here seen this show? I'm thinking about giving it a go sometime soon. I saw one episode of the US remake but fell behind and then heard it got cancelled after one season so didn't bother watching the rest but I know the original French show already has two seasons (and the possibility of a third to come).

The originals are usually regarded as far superior anyway (and having seen both versions of The Killing I definitely believe this to be the case). :laugh:

YES! Am watching it currently, am on the third episode of Season 2!

Season 1 is amazing, despite it being subtitles or whatever it's just brilliant. Every episode shocked me and the soundtrack was incredible. A real cliffhanger to the end of season one too!

Season two is A LOT different, it's set six months later but it's been filmed three years after season one so the cast (especially younger) look different! Slowly easing my way into season 2 but it's still as brilliant- and confusing!

I know it's held in very high regard and I love stories full of mystery and eerie atmosphere so I'm sure it will deliver. :D

Loved series 1, haven't seen the 2nd yet though

I've only seen S1 of the French series, it's just gripping, so eerie and amazing. Legit "scary" too at times

I watched the first two episodes last night. Really enjoyed them, I'm definitely gonna continue on with the rest! :)

I watched the first episode of series 2 last night and hmm... I can see myself losing interest with the show if they don't at least try to explain why it's happening instead of bringing back more dead all the time and hoping the human drama is enough to keep us hooked </3 It's still super-eerie though (effortlessly so, almost, the way the roads out of town just loop back on themselves inexplicably is a clever move)

But there's the rest of the season to make up for it I'm sure :hee:
