Lily Allen drags James Bay

Quote:

Lily Allen is not pleased with James Bay implying she's forgettable, and unleashed her wrath by directly comparing him to a bay leaf.

Some background: Bay was asked for his thoughts on Allen's criticism of the Brit Awards and responded by asking when she last released something, saying he can't remember her last album.

The Sheezus singer has now accused him of avoiding the real issue, writing on Twitter: "A fellow named James Bay dodged a question about lack of diversity at the Brits has apparently labeled me entirely forgettable

"I must admit if not heard of him until I saw my feed this morning, I have now listened to some of his music and seen his hat.

"he shares a name with the most standard, basic and least flavorsome herb, which I found both fitting and amusing."

Amazing.

So far Bay hasn't defended either himself or the integrity of the bay leaf as an ingredient.

The singer-songwriter is up for four Brit Awards this year and will also perform at the ceremony on Wednesday (February 24).

I honestly don't understand why he's a thing, he's just Mr Generic White Guy with a Guiter No.3429329329225532948939.

whyy do artists have to act like such kids? its so weird, you'd think that with all the money and talent they had, they wouldnt care or respond to someone criticizing them. like seriously grow up

Ashley. 22-02-2016 06:50 PM

I like his music but he's got too cocky.

Amy Jade 22-02-2016 06:59 PM

He's kinda right though, why is she moaning about the Brits? didn't she give up on music again after Sheesuz flopped?

Because there's zero diversity

Jake. 22-02-2016 07:10 PM

well he completely contradicted himself by going off topic when that's essentially what he accused her of doing. her point about the brits/the lack of support for black artists was a sound one (besides, his last hit was in what, 2014?)

Has she ever won a Brit? Has she ever performed at the Grammy's? :hee:

Literally has got nothing to do with the post I made so no idea why you've quoted me but yeah, I don't know/I don't care. She was originally sticking up for black musicians, not moaning because she doesn't have a brit.

Yes, she won Best British Female in 2010 and was nominated for a Grammy in 2008
