Women watch what you use [Johnson & Johnson has been ordered to pay $72m (£51m) to the family of a woman whose death from ovarian cancer was linked to the company's talc-based baby powder.] http://news.sky.com/story/1647418/j-...d-cancer-death |
Wow that's some settlement, who uses talc these days though, even on babies it is not advised

this is why I made my own baby powder for my kids when they were in diapers.... mind you ... I also made the diapers so I was quite the hippie

Edit. Infact we still have some in the bathroom cupboard, not that we have used it since |
The talc formula a couple of decades or so ago used to contain asbestos, so you can safely say that would increase the risk of cancer. The formula has now changed. I'm not sure what formula was used originally by the woman. If it was the first formula, there would be a cast iron case.

I've mentioned this on another thread a while since, but a few years ago my friend had cancer and had to fill out a long quesstionaire from the Oncology department asking how often she used deodarents, air freshener, hairspray etc., It made me look at personal hyhene in a whole other way.
