It doesn't look too bad but it does look like it's sticking too close to the original.

It looks like a cheesy copy to me.The original gb's were actually quite funny and had good chemistry and of course were legendary actors.Also four women just does'nt work for me.

the original was pretty cheesy too tbf :laugh:

I think it looks like it could be good. It's getting a LOT of criticism on youtube though. Some of it seems to just be because it's a female cast (:umm2:) but there's also a lot of people commenting on racial stereotyping. The white quantum physicist, the black uneducated sassy loud one, which crossed my mind when I watched it too if I'm honest. I'm hoping it's good though. If they get it right, I think it could actually be a big step forward for women in movies, it's not often you get an all female cast, especially one that replaces an all male cast, it's pretty unheard of.

I think it looks really funny, definitely fancy seeing this.

But people were always gonna hate on it, unfortunately.

Catching ghosts is mans work.Women are too sympathetic to the needs of the ghosts and would probably let them go if they felt sorry for them.The women should be makin the god dam sammiches for the ghostbusters.

The negativity is outrageous.

It´s not as bad as i thought it would be, but still no... just no.

Not going to my watchlist.

It could have been good, but all the acting feels stilted, it kinda looks like a sketch, rather than a film, the original Ghostbusters worked as an action film as well as a comedy, if you took the comedy out of the original, it still worked as a action film, this one? I doubt it. Also, FFS at the OTT sterotypical black woman.

This looks awful. It looks like more of a spoof than anything, and tries too hard to be funny, whereas the original had the right blend of action and comedy.

It does seem any complaints about Hollywood rehashing classic movies for no real reason other than monetary gain just seem to be met with "sexist!!!!! you're so sexist!!!!!!!!!!" outrage. Which is absurd.

I like all four of the actresses here but I can't see this being anything above 'ok'.

they are good actresses, i agree but if this movie becomes a big success, i doubt that

Exactly. I think it'd look crap regardless of which gender was its main cast. Some films just need to be left alone in terms of remakes, and Ghostbusters is one of them

...it's a good cast and I think perfectly chosen as females for the remake because they won't then be compared so much to the originals, who gelled so well together...but the trailer to me just says...well hello, we're all funny and work well together, which wouldn't be enough on it's own to make a great re-make of such an iconic movie..I agree with Chewy, there has to be action filled substance to it as well....
