:omgno: I haven't seen that.

Marsh. 23-03-2016 03:42 PM

I've only ever seen people make that mistake in written form, like on this site. I always assume it's a typo.

I've never heard anyone actually say brought instead of bought.

Jessica. 23-03-2016 03:46 PM

Yeah Marsh, I've only seen it written but it's still going on years after the first time I saw it.

Also, tret? :o

LeatherTrumpet 23-03-2016 03:47 PM

people do say pacific instead of specific but that is just illiteracy

_Tom_ 23-03-2016 03:48 PM

This actually really bugs me.

Bought and brought have two different meanings. It's basic grammar. http://www.freesmileys.org/misc/msn039.gif

"I should of treat myself and brought that top"

LeatherTrumpet 23-03-2016 03:51 PM

Irish people get the hardest time for how we say Three but atleast we use letters that are actually in the word and don't bring new ones in there :hee:

Del Boy Trotter does that.

In-fact Only fools and horses does a lot of it.

The best one is when Marlene is saying surrogate baby, but instead says suffragette baby.

I have decided that we struggle with English TH sounds because there is no such sound as gaeilge and we were designed to speak Irish :hee:
