Final Destination

I've recently been re-watching all the movies again in the past few days. It's an underrated horror franchise imo and one of the better ones.

Here are my rankings on the films:

Final Destination > Final Destination 3 > Final Destination 5 > Final Destination 2 > The Final Destination

LukeB 27-03-2016 09:13 PM

I love these films

3>1>2>4>5

Lostie! 27-03-2016 09:14 PM

I haven't seen the 4th and 5th yet but the first two are two of my favourite horrors easily.

Jake. 27-03-2016 09:14 PM

an underrated franchise :clap1:

FD5/3 > 2 > 1 > 4

the fourth was an absolute joke

Jason. 27-03-2016 09:16 PM

I used to love FD2 and still do and it was my favourite but after re-watching, it's gone down in my ranking.

I just found that it lacked the suspense that the first one had and it wasn't as entertaining as the third. The dark and eerie feel of the first film is why the first one is my favourite. The first one was creepy.

ranking of disasters:

1. Pile Up
2. Bridge
3. Coaster
4. Plane
5. Racetrack

LukeB 27-03-2016 09:17 PM

I liked 4

I can see where you're coming from with the spoof but I actually found it good when I watched it at the Cinema and on DVD. The race track disaster wasn't the best disaster but I liked the deaths after that.

LukeB 27-03-2016 09:23 PM

it's been 5 years since the 5th film?

What other disasters can they do? I would have said train but they did that at the end of #3

Cal. 27-03-2016 09:25 PM

I'm one of the gals that fried to death in the tanning bed

Cal. 27-03-2016 09:26 PM

The roller coaster was the best and the most iconic. Everybody talks about that. FD3 is the best and the most iconic. When people think of Final Destination they think about the rollercoaster and the tanning beds.

Jason. 27-03-2016 09:26 PM

I loved the train one at the end of 3 <3

They could do one with a Boat/Cruise Ship sinking or something, but that would probably be dull without any fire like the pile up or plane explosion had.

Jake. 27-03-2016 09:26 PM

top ten deaths:

1. Ashley Freund and Ashlyn Halperin - Sunbed deaths (FD3)
2. Candice - Spine broken during gymnastics (FD5)
3. Tod - Strangled by clothes line (FD1)
4. Olivia - Fell from window (FD5)
5. Tim - Crushed from falling glass plate (FD2)
6. Erin - Shot by nail gun (FD3)
7. Samantha - Shot through the eye by rock (FD4)
8. Nora - Decapitated by lift (FD2)
9. Kim - Impaled by pole after airbag was set off (FD2)
10. Valerie - Knife falls into chest, followed by house explosion (FD1)

I read a while back that there were possible plans to have a 6th movie set in the far past at some point.

Jason. 27-03-2016 09:27 PM

Not a prequel :worry:

Cal. 27-03-2016 09:27 PM

I liked the FD5 deaths as they weren't over the top like previous sequels and were suspenseful.

:fc:

I hope so but are they any other disasters they can do?

Jason. 27-03-2016 09:28 PM

I'd love a Scream TV series-style TV series for Final Destination imo. That would work well with one person dying each episode sort of thing.

Cal. 27-03-2016 09:28 PM

The only one I haven't seen is the 4th cos appaz its bad

Wasn't the fifth one a prequel?

This was a good death scene

This, it restored faith back in the franchise

Lostie! 27-03-2016 09:31 PM

I think FD2 is really underrated, I loved how everything tied back into the first one.

Spoiler:

Yeah wasn't the ending of the fifth the beginning of the first?
