It's been high on fans' - and several wrestlers' - wish lists for a while, and according to reports from PWInsider and SEScoops, it's happening.

According to those sites' sources, WWE will do away with the branding of women's wrestling as "Divas", effective next Monday night, April 4, on Raw in Dallas.

Whoever leaves the Triple Threat between Charlotte, Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 32 with the title somewhat infamously referred to as the "butterfly belt" will be the last to carry it, as the company has commissioned a new strap - the WWE Women's Championship - which reportedly will mimic the look of the WWE World Heavyweight title, just smaller and with a white leather base.

No word on the angle they'll use to make the transition, and, presumably, the "Divas" brand will continue as it pertains to the E! 'reality' show and the performers who star on it (like the five competing as part of Team Total Divas on Sunday's Kickoff) .

Interestingly as it pertains to both those items, Monday is also reportedly Brie Bella's farewell to wrestling, although she is expected to continue on as "Total Diva".

Open questions not withstanding, exciting news, right?

About time it got a redesign the current one is a mess :clap2: The actual term 'divas' I don't have a problem with though, it's no different to them calling the males 'superstars' and has been used since the Trish/Lita days

A couple reddit users have already seen or heard about the details about the new belt supposedly (Dvizzle and KAY-FABE), it's like the WWE WHC, but with a white strap with a dark red background in the center

Other details:
-The belt will be smaller
-obs the belt will have Women's Championship on it
-The sideplates will not be changeable unlike the WWE WHC at this time, It was just recently made and ordered. So I'm sure they'll have one available later since a few Divas have logos like Paige, Sasha (The Boss, Shaders)

Great idea now they need to bring back 1 or 2 other belts
