The X Factor 2016 - Cheryl to leave, Louis and Sharon (and Nicole) to return?

Quote:

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has met Simon Cowell for do-or-die talks over her X Factor future.

The singer is in LA and has visited the music mogul several *times to thrash out plans, which could see her quit the show.

Cheryl , 32, is locked in negotiations with Simon but sources close to the star insist she is “keeping her options open”.

One insider said: “It’s a critical time and the talks will be a big factor in determining how the show looks this year.

“Cheryl will be the one who makes the decision on her future – she and Simon are great friends and he’s totally supportive of her decision, *whatever that turns out to be. They’ve got the show’s best interests at heart and aren’t rushing into anything. The talks could continue for some time.”

Cheryl is at a crossroads in her life following her split from husband of 18 months Jean-Bernard. She is dating One Direction’s Liam Payne, 22, and is keen to return to her solo music career.

Simon is also battling it out with producers to get his pal Louis Walsh, 63, back on the show – and if he succeeds Sharon Osbourne is ready to join him.

Simon will hold crunch talks on Tuesday. But if Louis’ return is *scuppered, it is thought Sharon, 63, will reject the chance to take up a judging role on the show again.

“Simon really wants Louis back,” said the source. “He wants his friend back by his side like the good old days. But he’s coming up against resistance from producers.”

Doubt has been cast over whether Louis, who did not judge last season after an 11-year run, would pull in viewers. Questions have also been raised over whether Rita Ora, 25, will return. Bosses want to keep the RIP singer but will not break the bank.

With The Voice, which is moving to ITV, sniffing around for her *services, X Factor may have a fight on its hands. Sources say producers have lined up a possible replacement in former judge Nicole Scherzinger, 37.

“Nicole is seen as an able replacement if Rita drops out,” said the insider.

An X Factor spokesman said no decisions on the panel have been made.

Simon Cowell is battling it out with X Factor producers to get his pal Louis Walsh back on the show - and if he succeeds Sharon Osbourne is set to join him.

The music mogul will thrash out details of this year’s panel in a crunch meeting on Tuesday - where the Irishman’s future will be decided.

But if Louis’ return is scuppered, Sharon, 63, will reject the chance to take up a judging role on the ITV show again, say sources.

Even though reports this week claim the former Westlife manager’s return was a done deal, it is in fact far from sorted, says one insider.

“Simon really wants Louis back,” the source told the Sunday People. “He wants his friend back by his side like the good old days.

“But he’s coming up against resistance from producers, who are less certain about Louis’ return.”

Doubt has been cast on whether Louis, 63, would be a draw for audiences, say insiders.

After carrying out research, it’s claimed X Factor bosses found Louis splits the audience and that some fans do not want to see him return.

The source added: “No decision will be made until Simon has this meeting with a top X Factor official in LA on Tuesday.

“Research has come in showing Louis is a very polarising figure.

“If Louis isn’t back on board, then Sharon won’t be. She likes the idea of the original panel and is very nervous about returning. She will only do so if Louis does too.

“Louis is desperate to get back on X Factor and he’s doing all he can to make it happen.”

Speculation over Louis and Sharon’s future also raises questions over whether Rita Ora, 25, and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, 32, will return.

Cheryl is currently in LA discussing her options with Cowell .

Currently at a crossroads in her life following her divorce from husband Jean-Bernard, Cheryl is said to be keen to return back to her music.

Currently dating One Direction Liam Payne, the beauty is in crunch talks about a possible exit.

Bosses are keen to keep Rita on board - but are not willing to break the bank to do so.

With The Voice, which moves to ITV after the current series, sniffing around for her services, X Factor may find they have a fight on their hands.

As a result they have already lined-up a possible replacement, it’s claimed.

Sources say there have been talks with Nicole Sherzinger - who is said to be keen to return.

“Nicole is seen as an able replacement if Rita drops out,” said the insider.

Brilliant news, if Rita drops out too then we could be seeing a Simon, Sharon, Nicole and Louis panel this year :fc:

If Sharon does return this series it will be the second time she has return in the same series as the room auditions return. Not arsed about Cheryl I would be happy with Louis-Sharon-Rita-Simon or Louis-Sharon-Nicole-Simon

Strictly Jake 02-04-2016 10:18 PM

I don't want Sharon actually

But Louis Simon Nicole and someone new I would like

I'm not sure who but I want someone like Jess Glynne only she seems a bit dull but of that calibre

Rita was a disappointment! So I don't want her back or Cheryl she lost her spark after she got fired off the USA series

Actually that reminds me I wouldn't mind Demi Lovato

But two American girls on a uk series wouldn't happen

But imagine that panel?!

Actually swap Louis for Robbie Williams

So you have

Robbie
Demi
Nicole
Simon

Perfect

Strictly Jake 02-04-2016 10:19 PM

But I would have a fit if Katy Perry did it

Oh my goodness!!!!!!!!

Robbie has been offered the voice I think so he'll probably take that job over the X factor job if offered.

Headie 02-04-2016 10:21 PM

That would actually be perfect :flutter: Kelly as the reserve in case one drops out pls

Jordan. 02-04-2016 10:24 PM

Nicole over Sharon

Tom4784 02-04-2016 10:26 PM

Cheryl wouldn't leave, she needs the X Factor to keep her profile raised.

Nicole would be good but I wouldn't want Sharon back.

Black Dagger 02-04-2016 10:34 PM

Perfect :clap1:

Ross. 02-04-2016 10:39 PM

We aren't worthy of a Simon-Sharon-Nicole-Louis panel

Strictly Jake 02-04-2016 11:11 PM

Everyone is making a big deal out of it but don't forget the Sam Bailey series was this but this is Simon instead of Gary that series was crap

Mitchell 02-04-2016 11:40 PM

Simon, Sharon, Nicole, Louis would be great, might even watch for the first time since mid series 10

Will. 03-04-2016 10:32 AM

Yes, this would be really good.

I think Rita will leave but not sure on Cheryl, I think it would do her good to leave tbh.

Literally it would be the perfect 4

Scherzy's Sky 1 show Bring The Noise has been axed, meaning that she'll now have some free time...
