Rewatching WM31 to get in thé mood

Babayaro. 03-04-2016 04:47 PM

Surely 4 matches is too much for a pre-show?

Black Dagger 03-04-2016 05:45 PM

SLAY queen @ Sasha

LaLaLand 03-04-2016 05:56 PM

Cannot wait, but they'll have to do ALOT to top NXT: Dallas on Fri (Nakamura - need I say more?)

According to Wiki the Andre Battle Royal has been moved to the main card and off the preshow now?

REALLY looking forward to the women's match, if these guys perform as they've done down at previous TakeOvers then they could easily steal the show. Would love Becky to finally get her time but I can see Sasha getting it and actually can even see Charlotte retaining tbh (hope not though) so it could go either way...

Super excited.

Not sure if I like the set/stage or not, will have to see it in action:

Honestly wish they'd just scrap the battle royal. I know and it's good for getting all the talent on the card and the first one with Cesaro winning was great but nothing ever came of it and eh. Hopefully something interesting is planned to explain why they moved it on the main show.

LaLaLand 03-04-2016 06:27 PM

Apparently there are a few "big surprises" according to what I think Big Show said on the HOF Red Carpet last night, read into that what you will. Only 16/20 participants have been named so we'll probably get 4 "legends" and/or NXT guys.

My word! that is a weak Wrestlemania card.

Having to wheel out the old Legends like The Undertaker and Triple H to top the bill.

The WWE must be going through a bad patch at the moment.

I most certainly wont be paying for that.

Who got inducted in-to the Hall of fame this year?

They have been plagued with injury in the run up to this 'Mania, John Cena, Randy Orton and many others all out.

The Fabulous Freebirds, Stan Hansen, Snoop Dogg, Jacqueline, Sting, The Godfather, The Big Boss Man and Joan Lunden (Warrior Award) were inducted this time, as well as a special "Legacy Award" celebrating the careers of Mildred Burke, Frank Gotch, George Hackenschmidt, Ed "Strangler" Lewis, Pat O'Connor, Lou Thesz and "Sailor" Art Thomas.

Thanks

Yeah, I was wondering where Cena and Orton where, and Daniel Bryan having to retire can't of helped, he seemed to be a fans favourite. What are the likes of Batista and CM Punk up-to now?

I would have preferred to see someone new get a chance to main-event instead of Triple H, that way you can find the next big stars.

I know how you feel man! If you haven't been watching, guy who HHH is facing has been forced down our throats basically as the "top face" of the company but audiences just haven't taken to him and he gets boo'd like crazy every single show, so if he wins tonight expect absolute carnage.

Batista is back making movies and CM Punk is now in MMA, he's on terrible terms with WWE, it didn't end well at all, as is his wife and former Diva's Champion AJ Lee.

Babayaro. 03-04-2016 07:12 PM

This is the first Mania i've watched live since 24, so i'm pretty excited to say the least

Stu 03-04-2016 07:36 PM

The build has been **** for years now but 2013 aside (the heartbreaking idea of a show being built around two rematches nobody really wanted to see and a crap undercard with no gimmicks) they almost always deliver on the night. So yeah I'm buzzing like a kid as I always am. NXT will come out having had the better wrestling but guess what I've been following this crap for 16 years and I'm still looking forward to 'Mania more. I like big lads and fireworks and stuff.

I hope Rock at least gets involved in New Days stuff or something, as opposed to just bore the piss out of a toilet with his usual 20 minute social media love and huge scripted promo.

Bursting with joy Becky is a part of this.

Preshow is 2 hours for Mania usually, plenty of time to fit all 4 matches.

The card's the way it is because of all of these injuries. They have been pushing younger talent alot lately. It's just all the new talent that are major players are injured or are needed elsewhere (I don't mind Owens on the card but if you want a multiman ladder match, make it MitB, not for the IC.) .

For example, HHH would've been facing Seth Rollins, who tore his ACL around Survivor Series.

Reigns would've been facing Cena

IDK about Shane though but I think he was brought in for emergency purposes.

Jordan. 03-04-2016 08:51 PM

the kick off show starts in 10 mins on the network

Jordan. 03-04-2016 08:53 PM

or youtube!

LaLaLand 03-04-2016 08:56 PM

So excited now!

Stu 03-04-2016 09:01 PM

Wonder how close they'll get to a sell out. No way of telling what the actual figure will be. Even if it's a legit 100,000 which would be amazing they'll say 107,000. Goes to show WrestleMania is the draw in and of itself, injury aside.

They'll 'officially' beat the WrestleMania 3 bull**** attendance even though they beat that bull**** attendance for real with other bull****ted attendances multiple times at this stage.

Yeah wrestling is ****ing weird.

BBfanUSA 03-04-2016 09:09 PM

Dirtsheets said that they're going to be legit over 100,000 a couple weeks ago.

There seems to be a few issues with tickets (they scan them on a Wifi system), which is why there's hardly anyone in there yet.

Stu 03-04-2016 09:16 PM

Strict bag policy, too. They've got plenty of time but Kalisto and Ryback might be scrapping in front of 500 people!

That stadium is so big it's almost vulgar. You could fit one of the other stadiums they've done inside it.

BBfanUSA 03-04-2016 09:26 PM

Lita has a big announcement for the 2nd hour, supposedly is going to be the New WWE Women's Title

Babayaro. 03-04-2016 09:29 PM

And that megascreen is huuuge. Punters in American Football have been known to hit the bottom of the thing, so they had to raise it higher
