You mentioned the remake but have you seen the original Poseidon Adventure? It's really good tbh.

Yeah I like both but I thought the remake was better, I didn't really like the ending...Although both movies killed off my favourite characters :(

Yes on both counts.

Dollface 15-04-2016 10:27 PM

Titanic, The Happening, The Mist, Cloverfield, San Andreas, Day After Tomorrow, Signs, The 5th Wave

& there was one I watched about a year ago that I liked but can't remember the name, trying to find it now

It's a new movie with Chloe Grace Moretz, s'bout an alien invasion (but they look human) and there's 5 "waves" of attacks from them etc. and there's a sort of twist at the end
It's not great but worth a watch imo

Amy Jade 15-04-2016 10:35 PM

I hated 5th Wave :(

Is No Escape the one with the American family stuck in a riot and they have to jump across a building?

I loved disaster movies , even the really bad ones like cagtegory movies

The ones that actually got me into disaster movies

Earthquake in New York and
Aftershock earthquake New York

I not seen them for a fews years

There only one I really didn't like was 10.0 Earthquake

Braden 30-04-2016 11:16 AM

I'm not much of a disaster-film fan, but I remember watching Dante's peak for Geography lessons and actually quite enjoyed it.

Daniel-X 30-04-2016 11:35 AM

I think The Crazies is the only one I've ever enjoyed.

Daniel-X 30-04-2016 11:39 AM

Oh no actually the remake of Dawn of The Dead was really good and I enjoyed it much more than I expected to.

Shaun 30-04-2016 11:57 AM

I like most kaiju movies - Cloverfield, Pacific Rim, Godzilla (moreso the 2014 version) etc - if they count.

I know everyone hates on that but I liked it.

Amy, have you seen Contagion? It's less over-the-top than most virus outbreak movies but that's all part of why I like it so much, a movie about a realistic outbreak is much scarier imo.

Speaking of, being a bit of a history geek, I'd like them to do a movie (or miniseries) set around the 1918-1920 flu pandemic. Surprised it hasn't been done yet actually.

Cloverfield
