[A British Airways flight carrying 132
passengers has been struck by
a drone on approach to Heathrow Airport.
The pilot reported that an object
had struck the Airbus A320, which took
off in Geneva, as it came in to land
at the London hub.
The flight landed safely at
Heathrow Terminal 5.]

Its not Airports Fault.

That Drone hit it, outside of that zone
as it was approaching etc.

Some Fella or child playing with his Drone
could cause a plane to Crash

Bit worrying isn't it though, how long before this technology is used to down a plane

The drone was probably flying at 20-30 miles an hours with an approximate weight of 2 or 3 kilos.
The plane was probably flying at speeds excessing 200 miles an hour and was hundreds of tons in weight.

I think the plane struck the drone, not the drone struck the plane :hehe:

Stupid to fly something like that near a major airport.

GMBHD (itv)
Counter-Terrorism expert
Major Chris Hunter
told them that Isis told their
followers to fly drones.

It would just need a Drone with a Bomb,
Gaffa tape holding it on ,
and it could be set off
near the plane.
to crash it.

I would assume it depends how good they get at the remote
of the small drone
