Why do people do this?

Ugh so,

I was walking home today after my lesson and I live off a couple of roads from the main street, for about a mile there is no zebra crossing which is utterly ridiculous considering it's a main high street.

I was crossing and one lane was clear but the other still had cars coming down and there's those white lines which cars cant drive on so people can cross half the street.

Whilst I was waiting to cross the other side the car I was waiting for to go by quickly turned as if it lost control and was going to hit me as a joke.

It was new VK with youngish drivers and passengers, I could see them laughing as they nearly run me over.

It wasn't even like they were far away, they did it 5M in front of me and if had gone wrong I would be dead.

It's a really immature thing to do when your going 60mph and your about 5-10M from the person.

ugh, really annoying.

This is why young drivers insurance is higher, trying to show off to their friends :nono:

the psychology is that young people, men usually, have no concept of mortality - this wont arrive until they have children or reach their 30s

Its why the army likes to recruit young, why terrorists are young etc

Will go and buy a big Sponge cake, eat it all and then throw your head back and laugh at the stupidity of youth

then boak it all back up doon the loo

Men reach the age of 7 and then just keep growing.

I find this sort of behaviour annoying too Will.

A couple of years ago me and my Mom was walking to the Asda after having a McDonald's, and I was about 1 second away from having a Car run my foot over, the thing was that they was the ones breaking the law as it was meant to be our turn to cross the road.

Seriously why people have to be so dangerous is beyond me.

People like that annoy me, I just hope that they never get to breed.

This is were I was crossing, standing between the white lines.

The nearest crossing is about 50M down, but it's not a zebra crossing so it's pretty pointless:

Are those for pedestrians?

I assumed those were for cars waiting to turn into a junction but still allowing the traffic behind them to carry on ahead? :suspect:

Not sure what there for tbh, there too small for a car to get in them, people always beep when someone takes forever to turn into the Tesco there blocking the traffic.

I don't think there for pedestrians though but their a safe/ish place to stand if you can't cross the road.
