tipping ( breaking sky news report)

tipping ? 02.05.16 ( can you please give me a tip for my poem attempt ?)

it is very controversial

because money does join

i don't mean to be a advertising commercial

its in the news but don't tip me with bitcoin.

if you go out for a meal

and your service does excel with no exception

you don't with the owner do a deal

so they can pay wages in a deception.

but tipping is often used

your waiter is often on a low wage

will a new law stop them being abused

could you give the owner a stuffing without sage.

or are you opposed

and tips are a gimmick

would it be cheeky if i exposed

leave a £10 or £20 below this limerick.

give me a tip

a smile or a nod will satisfy

don't leave your debit card or a cheque slip

a sign saying "no more poetry" is the only payment to justify.

on sky news this morning they was talking about tips ? when i replace my poems in the best village in the world - if someone leaves me a tip, i will put it in my pocket and smile and say thank you, or if someone leave me a tip saying NO MORE POETRY. i will be writing a a poem on Lucifer as he is after me and has tracked me down. so ? have you got any tips ? http://news.sky.com/story/1688462/ti...taff-says-govt and if you want to pay me via bitcoin - you can find out how here. http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/25622442

I don't think there's anything wrong with tips IF they are just what they're supposed to be - an extra gift for exceptional service.

I would not want us to go the route of the US... where tips make up the bulk of service staff's income and are "expected" at all times, and it's seen as rude / wrong not to tip, or like the person must have done something wrong.

But yeah... everyone should be paid properly by their employer. Tips should be about generosity and getting "something extra" - no one should have to survive on tips, but neither should tipping be completely "banned".
