What do you call a sandwich?

Let the battle begin!

What do you call it?

Who wins?

You decide!

Babayaro. 04-05-2016 03:50 PM

Essentially you're saying sandwich vs sandwich

It should say "What do you call it" smh

This.

Also if you say 'sarnie' you need to S-T-O-P.

It's a sandwich or a butty.

If I was to shorten Sandwich to anything it'd be sambo not sarnie :nono:

_Tom_ 04-05-2016 03:58 PM

Sandwich.

Piece when I'm feeling Scottish.

Erm, wtf would you call bread with chips on. Anything but chip butty hits the ears so wrong.

Never called a sandwich a sarnie in my life

Crimson Dynamo 04-05-2016 04:10 PM

like all scots we call it a piece

like a piece on jam

or a sausage piece

sarnie is so poncy

You're taking the piece now LT :nono:

Suze 04-05-2016 05:02 PM

When typing it out I tend to shorten it to Sarnie, like other words just for quickness. If I ask anyone if they want something to eat I will usually ask if they want a sandwich.

Firewire 04-05-2016 05:13 PM

Sandwich (or piece)

Ashley. 04-05-2016 05:16 PM

See this is why I don't trust Scotland. If someone was to ask "would you like a piece" I'd instantly assume they meant cake, and then I'd be disappointed. :fist:

We say "do you want a cake?" because we eat them whole here
