Health question to do with teeth
 

So I had retainers when I was like 13/14 and I did't really wear them that much tbh.

I completed the treatment with them and then went on to have braces however I gagged so much that they couldn't fit the braces.

We were meant to book another appointment but that never happened.

So 2/3 years on I want my gap between front teeth gone!

But I really don't want braces, is it possible just to have retainers again?

I filled out the form to book appointment just now, not here for me going and them saying let's fit braces today and me gagging the surgeon down.

You need braces. Ring up so they can give you an appointment to get you on the waiting list.

They won't fit your braces straight away unless you go private. The waiting lists in this country are like a year long.

I had my first appointment in September 2014. I had my braces on in February 2015 and I had them off in October 2015 and have worn retainers nightly ever since.

I quite like gaps in the front teeth,I suppose it depends how wide it is,but yes get professional help Will.

literally the thing you have to hold at the back of your mouth, I can't do that, no no.

Oh yeah you won't have to wait for your braces then. But like can't you explain that you have a weak gag reflex or whatever? Surely there must be something they can do

Like what if I start gagging hysterically whilst there fitting them and then the braces slip off and I choke to death?

I liked getting them off?

Like I didn't enjoy getting them tightened and being in pain every 6 weeks for a few days

I don't think you are going you do anything without braces Will, there are some new ones out, fast braces and six month smiles,not you can wear a retainer, you should be able to manage braces

Nnnn is it your molds? Just concentrate on the ceiling/wall or whatever for the 30 seconds they're in there

oh yeah the tightening was agony

I really wanted to rip them off everytime they got tightened. Ice cold water and paracetamol helps though
