In front of people?:nono:

The horrific fakeness of it all and the faux surprise and gratitude. Its vile. Who is with me?

All presents should be for opening on your own and not with some person staring at you trying to gauge your reaction

The best thing about giving presents is watching someone open them :hee:

Yes and you would be analysing our reactions to see of we were

:idc:

I just find things like this awkward tbh, the expectation that you'll love it. Even if I do genuinely like the gift, I don't want to seem too overenthusiastic that I come off sarcastic. I really do give off the worst impressions

Marsh. 16-05-2016 01:45 PM

I know what you mean when it comes to opening them in front of people.

It is a tad uncomfortable.

Getting stabbed in the throat on your birthday night out

It's not so bad other nights, it's a bitch when it happens on your birthday though

My dads never liked opening presents in front of us but we are always glad when he leaves the room on Xmas day because we can then relax and enjoy.

I love opening presents in front of people because no matter what's inside, that gift has been given to me with thought and care. I've still got the jumper my grandma knitted me and although I've never worn it because its too big and one arm is shorter than the other, every stitch was done for me with love.

Not getting them is much worse. Still a 4 year old at heart.

That's a lovely post.

I agree,no matter what the gift is it has been given to me by someone else and that in itself is something special.
