Jade collapses over TV jibe

SHAMED Jade Goody was last night in rehab suffering stress and depression — tipped over the edge by her boyfriend’s public mickey-taking.

The race-row bully collapsed at home on Sunday hours before Shilpa Shetty won Celebrity Big Brother.

A pal said the last straw came as housemates re-enacted her infamous row with the Bollywood star over an Oxo cube.

Jade was gutted as boyfriend Jack Tweed, 19, played her in the task to win a dinner — and mimicked her screeching voice.

She sobbed: “It’s enough that Big Brother bosses have ruined my life — but now they’re making fun out of me.”

A source said: “Jade has struggled since leaving the house a week ago and learning that she has become the most hated figure in Britain.

“She’s a real mess. She’s been up and down — one minute she seemed to rally, the next minute she was falling apart.

“But watching the housemates replay her rant at Shilpa sent her over the edge.

“She collapsed with stress and her GP said, ‘I have to refer you to the Priory’. She was driven there immediately.

“She’s clearly suffering on the verge of a nervous breakdown. She’s very depressed.”

The mum of two was admitted on Sunday. She is now being monitored by doctors before they decide on treatment.

She may even have watched Shilpa’s Sunday night victory in the Channel 4 reality show on the TV in her room.

Jack yesterday visited Jade at the clinic, which has treated a host of stars for drink, drugs and depression.

Celeb BB viewers saw the incident on Saturday that sparked Jade’s collapse.

The finalists were given a “movie task” to win a fancy dinner. So they re-enacted the Oxo cube row — with Jack in a frock and wig repeating Jade’s rant at Shilpa word for word.

Fellow bully Danielle Lloyd, 23, played Cleo Rocos, 44, who was evicted the day before.

During the real-life bust-up, Jade had shrieked at the Bollywood princess: “You need elocution lessons.

“You need a day in the slums. *******ing go in your community and go to all those people who look up to you. You *******ing fake.”

But Jade — who found fame in BB3 — said after being evicted and confronted with her shame: “I hold my hands up, my behaviour was nasty.”

If it is true and not just another PR stunt then I do feel sorry for her.

Bells 30-01-2007 09:19 AM

I'm surprised she didn't see it humorously when everyone else did, and she seems comfortable enough saying she didn't mean her racist comments seriously. :puzzled:

Mrluvaluva 30-01-2007 09:22 AM

We should just get on with something else now and forget about it. It's not worth the health of someone.

The impact its had on her life it's pretty easy to see why she wouldn't see the funny side of it.

I thought showing that bit of the play was very uncomfortable viewing.

Frankly, this seems like a PR stunt. How did the papers get to find out about this? Are they in the clinic with her? Or is this from her agent?

photos of Jack visiting her. So papers are telling the truth.

Not so much the funny side, but if Shilpa, after seeing the horrible comments made about her, can forgive, then why didn't Jade feel relieved that the HMs were seeing the episode as amusing?

Mrluvaluva 30-01-2007 09:47 AM

I suppose she is getting a lot of pressure from all sides and is finding it hard to deal with.

Because she, unlike the HM's at the time new the full impact of it on the outside.

tinkerbell 30-01-2007 09:59 AM

I dont think Jade and Jack will last very long after this.

You're missing the point - Shilpa too knew the full impact of it on the outside. But they're obviously just different people so there's no point going there.
At the end of the day, what with Danielle being dropped from everything and allegedly splitting with Teddy, Jo being in the terrible state she's in, and Jade in rehab, I really think it's time to move on now. Whilst I feel they got themselves into it, it's distressing to see them in such a state, and even Shilpa herself said it's time to forget about it so I think moving on is the key at the moment.

not everyone who has a break-down gets the luxery and care of the priory, a lot suffer in silence for years. am i supposed to feel sympathy for her?

I agree with you, I think people should move on to, I don't hate any of them... They are OBVIOUSLY different people so they will deal with things differently... but all I was saying was it is understandable Jade didn't find the very thing that "ruined" her humorous.

EXACTLY!

GiRTh 30-01-2007 10:19 AM

Don't see Jade in these pictures. This maybe true, maybe not but it's definitely the right move to make Jade look like a victim. LEt's get this straight. Since leaving the house she's apologised about a thousand time, then voiced her opinion that Jo and Danielle should not get away with it and has made herself look like the actual victim in all of this. It's like her management has got the career rebuild playbook and they're running it step by step.

tinkerbell 30-01-2007 10:19 AM

If i have a break down and will be close to suicide..will anyone give a ****? no! so why should we give a crap about others they braught it on themselfs.

I agree, but I wouldn't wish this on anybody, not even my worse enemy. It doesn't matter how much money you have, or your status. They are still human beings like the rest of us.

tinkerbell 30-01-2007 10:24 AM

I bet now Jade secretly despises Shilpa!

Yes its good to say it shouldnt be wished on anybody, only someone who has been through it can really recognise that, but its fair to acknowledge when somebody has brought it all on themself.

after seeing Jade that night letting off both barrels i can believe that. A person doesnt lose that kind of hate overnight.

Maybe she did bring it on herself, but I personally do not think she, or any of the others, deserve this kind of treatment.

unfortunately Jade has decided to make her money through being a celebrity, it cant just suit her when things are going well in her life, if it comes back and bites her in the ass when she hits a low point she's got no right to complain. like i said plenty of people suffer in silence with depression for years.......

well let's just be glad that she is fortunate enough to get the proper care. As you say, not everyone does, and have to suffer in silence.
