I'm sure LT has a (mobility) scooter tucked away somewhere.

Have you got your leathers, Kizzy?

My hubby had a little Chinese scooter, it lasted him about 5 years before he sold it on, it was a great little scooter, it didn't miss a beat:) it was called a Giantco sprint sport 50cc, he traveled about 25 miles a day 6 days a week on it and it never struggled starting on a winters day, a brilliant little bike, admittedly he serviced it regularly (as he's a mechanic), but he said it's the best bike he ever had:)

He then went on to buy a motorbike which has been nothing but trouble, it's just turned 1 and has had numerous petrol leaks and replacement parts, he said that his next bike will be a scooter:)

Stay safe Kizzy and wear all your gear, and remember that there are a lot of idiots out there on the road

I've never had a scooter but I rode a motorbike for a long time. Buy the best helmet and waterproofs you can afford.

Thanks, I guess it's classed as a trike haha so will be a bit sturdier, this is the exact same one I got yesterday...

I will be getting protective gear too, it's been a pricey option so far should've stuck to the peasant wagon!
Was warned off Chinese scooters strangely as they aren't supposed to be that relieable and you can struggle to get them insured

will you be able to park in disability spots?

Kizzy 29-05-2016 12:32 PM

No, why would I?

Had one before I passed my main driving test.

Loved it. Great in summer. So much fun and if you can convince a friend to get one you'll have great adventures.

Winter - horrendous. Redifines getting wet. Regardless of waterproof clothing.

Yay Kizzy that's great.
I've never driven a scooter but Steve, who's a bit of a dab hand at building off road bikes, is in the middle of making his first electric bike and I'm the one who will get to put it through its paces once its finished. Electric bikes are normally ugly and so he was inspired to make something a bit more retro.

He stole the idea from an American model that looks just like this one. http://vintageelectricbikes.com/
