Big Brother 2016 is gearing up for a MASSIVE series this summer and an epic house will be home to the latest bunch of housemates.

The final bits of work are now being completed this Bank Holiday weekend on what has been a mammoth project to give the set a major revamp since the end of Celebrity Big Brother back in February.

The biggest and most obvious change comes in the form of a brand new extension to the main house.

The two story building is connected by a corridor to the existing house and now has its own garden, with decking and a smoking area ready for the those that enter, whoever they may turn out to be.

The existing house has been gutted and completely redone.

The walls are styled on the new look Big Brother eye - pictured above - with black and grey stripes interspersed with shards of colour.

In the garden, the theme spills across the ground with only circular patches of grass.

The upstairs snug, which has been a part of the house in various forms for the past few series, is now gone completely and replaced with a brand new sheltered smoking area.

At the centre of the garden is a new circular hot tub and separate curved shaped pool which has been made to look like Big Brother's all seeing eye.

The housemates will be left in no doubt they're being watched but they may be surprised to find out just by who.

So the main house has been "gutted" - does that mean a new layout?

Blagger has said the layout is pretty much the same. Having said that he BB14/15 layouts were more or less the same and the house looked amazing both times so I don't mind that

The stairs thing.. Somebody explain to me why they are so passionate about it?

I've never really got that one.

I like the idea of the black and white with the shards of colour. They never really disappoint with house design so I'm excited to see it.

Sounds really good, can't wait for the pictures.

To be fair, if someone not on Twitter gets some info from someone close to the show, the first thing they're gonna do is make a Twitter and blurt it all out. But who knows.
What they said is mostly what TellyMix soon revealed after though so I'd say the other things like open stairs, diary room to the right of the stairs are true too. Plus that'd make sense as the diary room will be between both houses and that works.
I LOVE the sound of the house though, potential to be my favourite ever. The black and white, metallic, striped design sounds so good especially with the shards of colour! And the pool and hot tub shaped like an eye in the garden sounds amazing, surprised it's taken 17 series to be done!

I like that they've got rid of that snug thing, I hated the random cloud loft last series it looked cheap and out of place

Can't wait for the house pictures

I honestly don't care if the house looks like a trampled turd.

I just want great HMs (and feed but hey ho). No point in an amazing house if the people are awful.
