what a lovely thing to think about

Amy Jade 30-05-2016 09:40 PM

Kill peados to control population

joeysteele 30-05-2016 09:42 PM

I would hope not.

user104658 30-05-2016 11:16 PM

Yeah. The few million at most killed in an average war will make an absolutely massive dent in the ever-growing global population of 7.5 billion.

There's no halting the human population problem. We're going to continue to multiply like insects until the sheer volume of people swarming the planet ends up destroying it. :hee:

the logical solution will soon become clear, its time we built real estate on the moon and send the richest crooks up there ...one way

Actually, funnily enough, my theory on the survivability of the human race is basically that! In the next couple of hundred years, humans either majorly get our **** together and begin space colonisation, or we go more-or-less extinct. Either way, with the population rocketing and the way we exploit this planet, we're not far off (in historical terms) running this little rock into the gound.

Northern Monkey 31-05-2016 01:39 PM

I don't think wars are for population control.I think it's more for economic, expansionism, religious and political reasons.

I agree.Although i think it will be more in atleast the thousand plus years if we're thinking of natural causes/global warming etc. However it is entirely possible we will wipe the human/most animal populations out via war or a huge over advanced technological mistake.
Mind we could get wiped out by an asteroid at any time with not too much warning. It's best to be ready for sure.

It's education and contraception that's necessary for world population control. War is necessary for a myriad of other reasons... to stop the spread of a murderous, oppressive regime, for instance.

War is the means that a government maintains control over a population and convince them that they need the government for protection. As far as overpopulation goes, that is a myth.
