Adele stops gig to blast audience member filming

Quote:

When you consider tickets to Adele’s London concerts were being sold for upwards of £24,000, you would think fans inside the venue would be making the most of every single moment with the singer.

As with at all concerts, many onlookers took the opportunity to film Adele performing in Verona, something that upset the multimillionaire.

“I want to tell that lady as well, can you stop filming me with a video camera because I'm really here in real life,” she told one audience member.

“Could you take you take your tripod down? This isn’t a DVD, this is a real show and I’d really like you to enjoy my show because there are lot’s of people who couldn’t come in.”

Um @ someone having a tripod :umm2:

Lol at someone filming her telling off someone for filming

RichardG 01-06-2016 12:11 PM

if the tripod was in the way or blocking someone else's view or whatever then she should definitely be made to take it down but otherwise i think it's a bit mean to call her out like that, even if taking a tripod to a concert is silly

It's against the law to film it though

Ross. 01-06-2016 12:16 PM

She's hardly going to be a fan if she's standing behind a bloody tripod for the whole show either

Withano 01-06-2016 12:20 PM

Imagine bringing a tripod to a gig though

_Tom_ 01-06-2016 12:28 PM

It's illegal to film with professional equipment. Apparently the tripod woman was going to make copies and sell them. Good on Adele for calling her out :clap1:

Just because it's against the law doesn't mean that it's correct for it to be that way.

Imo I find it annoying seeing people Film in Concerts because they should just enjoy being there rather than Filming it for other people to see so that they get mammoth views on Youtube.

However Adele has come off like an egotistical dick here who thinks that she can preach to her fans now because she's a massive star.

:joker: wtf

Firewire 01-06-2016 12:37 PM

Anyway

Firewire 01-06-2016 12:52 PM

To be fair the girl was standing holding a tripod

Jack_ 01-06-2016 01:09 PM

The sentiment is right but it was a little harsh

Shaun 01-06-2016 01:21 PM

It takes a very sensitive soul to get butthurt over what she said.

I can always count on you

Tom4784 01-06-2016 01:25 PM

I despise it when people are more preoccupied with filming then they are with actually enjoying what they've paid to see.

No point trying to preserve a moment if you're not going to be apart of it.

Crimson Dynamo 01-06-2016 01:27 PM

whats is worse is that concerts are only good if you are there as in general they sound a lot worse than say a CD so to try and watch back a video of one?

:umm2:

This

Marsh. 01-06-2016 04:04 PM

I thought she seemed a little harsh until she mentioned the tripod. :umm2: Bitch needs to not blatantly try to squeeze Adele out of her DVD sales.

Crimson Dynamo 01-06-2016 04:07 PM

the sooner they ban ALL phones from concerts the better

Marsh. 01-06-2016 04:08 PM

Why wasn't the woman pulled up by staff at the venue anyway?

Does it really take the performer to tell her to take a tripod down?

I don't get where people are reading her for being harsh and bitchy... she was frank, and genuine imo...and didn't do a thing wrong. She didn't even belabour the point... she just said her piece and dropped it.

Marsh. 01-06-2016 04:16 PM

I thought it was harsh if she was calling that one woman out for filming when there were dozens of other people with their phones in the air.

But when it became apparent she had quite the setup going then it made sense.
