The co-host of MTV's Judge Geordie is set to join the Big Brother 2016 housemates line up.

Hunky Alex Cannon appears on the reality show alongside Vicky Pattison with rumours that the pair are dating.

According to The Sun newspaper, Alex will be one of this summer's BBUK housemates and show bosses hope he reveals all about his supposed relationship with Vicky.

The tabloid even claims that Alex will be getting a 'six figure sum' to appear, despite it being the civilian series.

"Vicky's one of the biggest stars on TV right now - and although she's open and upfront about everything, her love-life is always a bit of a mystery," a source told the newspaper.

They explained: “Bosses are throwing big money at Alex - it's believed to be about a six figure sum - and it's because they're hoping he'll spill the beans about the nature of their relationship."

The insider went on to add that an appearance in Big Brother could also help boost Alex's profile while providing viewers with plenty of eye candy.

"It's a shrewd move for Alex - it's gonna take him from bit part on cult reality show in to the mainstream," the source said. “He's so handsome, bosses even think he could win in as fans vote to keep him in as resident eye-candy."

The new series of Big Brother kicks off Tuesday night on Channel 5.

Rumour has it that this year's housemates will include a number of 'celebrities' as part of the part of the line up.
I couldn't figure out if this is a CBB rumour or BB. :suspect: I've stuck it in this sub forum anyway because I can't imagine them paying much to the "celebs" going into the civ season, if anything?

If true this needs to be investigated by Ofcom
  • he's getting paid when most of others are doing the same job
  • he is getting the same prize as the winner for potentially less work ie he could on paper be evicted first
  • by getting a payment he will ensure that the producers twist and manipulate the show to keep him in to get their money's worth. Remember how they paid Evandor Holyfield £500k only to see him evicted after a few days. Massive waste of money. The producers will want their money's worth and ensure he gets to final and probably wins. If Alex says something controversial they will edit it out to protect him, C5 hid Jay's poo in freezer
  • By paying him to spill the beans on Vicky Pattinson the producers are admitting they have an agenda on SLs so if another HM does something interesting it will get edited out in favour of Alex's Vicky stories
  • If he is paid he can engineer an eviction so he does an Evandor and takes the money and run for doing very few nights in BB house
  • Producers may use the prize money to pay Alex, remember when they decided to spitefully share out BB11 prize when they realised their attempts to evict inevitable winner Aaron failed

Most importantly why pay him at all? He needs to exposure for his z list media profile. He would cut of his own arm for 2 l the tv exposure. He would do it for £5k and a packet of Monster munch/protein shake.
