Who said he was unsuccessful? Unless you think his success makes him any less of an arsehole...

some of the idiot liberals have tried to claim hes an unsuccessful businessman lol goes to show what liberals know about business...every time they run the country we go bankrupt then they start demanding more money for public services when its their fault we have run out of money. idiots. far better to have a fantastic businessman like trump in charge

It's not as if there's no evidence for him having unsuccessful ventures.

Successful businessmen and women, don't always impress me nor command respect generally,, some of those I have been in the presence of, who are 'apparently' hugely successful,I found some of them to be among the worst people you could ever have the misfortune to come across in life.
So the opening post does little to impress me or endear me to Trump in any way whatsoever.

GiRTh 06-06-2016 01:53 PM

Its a fiar point to make. He's constantly talking about how successful he is and this apparently qualifies him for government but if his wealth is based on over valueing his assets than the public need to know.

billy123 06-06-2016 02:03 PM

Wow. I suppose what some people see as success is a bit weird.

In charge of what though? our business?

I'd love to have someone like Trump in charge of my business but what has that got to do with running an entire country?

That's because most successful businessmen have the ability to be ruthless.

Money! Didn't you know that life is all about money?

What boggles my mind is the handful of British posters on BB who are rabidly pro Trump.

Its not only Americans who are buying what Trump is selling and appear to be dedicated to defending his bizarre twaddle about massive tariffs, trade wars, and buying back the debt at a discount as if they were the most brilliant ideas on the planet.

I really think logic has been suspended for the duration of this American election.

they are obvious common sense must do policies which the idiots in charge have simply not implemented...hence 21 trillion dollar debt. his rise isnt a sign of his genius its a sign of how phenomenally moronic politicians truly are. they know and understand NOTHING

3500 lawsuits in 30 years. His companies have been in over 100 tax disputes.

DemolitionRed 06-06-2016 07:46 PM

Hopefully, when Trump loses in November and brings down the the rest of the republicans up for election, republican leadership might take the next post mortem assessments a bit more. seriously.

Justify it however you want but its still a high number. How do you explain the 100+ tax disputes? Are the IRS all Trump haters?

Not really comparable as Obama didn't have 3500 lawsuits at the time he was running for office., Its an unprecedented figure. Again, justify it however you want but its the highest number of any candidate in presidential history.

His cologne flopped too didn't it?

Talking of Hillary Clinton she hasnt had 3500 lawsuits yet Republican establishment have been trying to dig dirt on her and Bill for about.....30 years . My opinion on her has been established on this forum for ages so no idea what you're on about with 'the million plus innocents butchered to death thanks to killary clinton'

BTW Mitt Romney is a fabulously wealthy business man comparable to Trump. No where near 3500 lawsuits when he ran in 2012.

Most of his ventures have failed.

One of the best pro-Trump videos is this 300 parody video. Thought I would share it.

Brexit needs to make a similar video.

..even as a businessman and disregarding his business failures, it would depend how 'success' is defined because boardroom/business deals aren't just about personal gain...they're about compromise/negotiations..and a 'good deal' for all/about listening to people and accommodating etc...everyone feeling that they have got what they needed out of the deal...Trump has never really showed any skill sets there that would say 'success' through this political process...he's all about Trump, he's all me, me, me.../look at me...does that character trait show any 'success' for a world leader..I have not seen anything in Trump that would say 'integrity', that would say he's a listener, a great negotiator or that he considers an America for the American people, but rather an America that he wants for himself to accommodate all of his fears, insecurities and prejudices...

...any flaws in Hilary as well, don't highlight anything positive in Trump..it just makes for a very bleak prospect either way...the only person I think who has any integrity or passion in their beliefs has been Bernie...the only one whose political background has not been me, me, me...
