Andrew's relative confirms producers paid for him to audition

So seems like C5 deliberately chose him because of his bigoted views :/

Scream 09-06-2016 11:15 PM

Maybe, maybe not. They could have just chose him because in his audition he convinced them he'd be a good housemate with a good game plan.

LukeB 09-06-2016 11:15 PM

Would have made sense if he had an connection but ;/

Headie 09-06-2016 11:16 PM

His cousins seems lovely :umm2:

LukeB 09-06-2016 11:18 PM

So is his cousin saying racist comments is okay because he is deliberately trying to upset them?

MrWong 09-06-2016 11:22 PM

They did the same for John James

Oliver_W 09-06-2016 11:23 PM

To anyone on this site who auditioned - did BB cover your travel to London/Manchester?

*mazedsalv** 09-06-2016 11:25 PM

FYI, someone I know auditioned and said they paid for his travel.

Also my cousin who was one of those standing on the stage on BB11 launch to be picked said he was paid for his travel too. And the ride to Elstree was free.

Amy Jade 09-06-2016 11:25 PM

His cousin is a twat.

Denver 09-06-2016 11:25 PM

Any proof they are related?

To be fair, most of these people are coming for her (especially the last one...how OTT) so she's only reacting and defending himself and his family how most people would

It's one of the worst parts of the Big Brother community when fans start hunting down the housemates relatives and sending them abuse. Leave them the **** alone, they didn't ask for it

I heard a while back they paid for Kim from Helen's year to travel for a second audition because she was back in the states at the time

What a waste of time and money that was

Then again, we got #openit and messy Steven as a result so thx Kim and the producers

Seems to me shes not exactly an innocent party, calling somebody fat based on their viewing preference, stupid bitch.

Paying for travel from one UK location to another is far less significant than paying for someone who lives on the other side of the world, they clearly wanted him on the show for whatever reason.

I thought everyone knew that they pay travel. It's been stated many times. For example, if you are successful i think they reinburse you the money you spend travelling to your first audition.

So lets say if you lived in Manchester and wanted to go to the London auditions, they'd give you the 100 quid or so that it took to get there if you get to the final stage.

Yeah they do pay for your travel expenses.

Amy Jade 09-06-2016 11:35 PM

It'll all come to light if BB try and protect him when he's in danger of going. He seems like a Marc character to me, pit in under the instruction to cause trouble.

Well I don't know if by that they mean...

- He travelled here on his own accord
- He was successful so they paid him back the cash.

or if they scouted for him, which I doubt. I think the cousin seems a bit too arrogant and may lie "he's so great they paid him to go in". I don't believe her.

Alex wasn't paid either.

Rumours on Twitter.

I don't agree with what was said but someone did come for them first and accused them of supporting an 'ignorant homophobic racist'. Whether or not you agree with that statement, if you're gonna say it to a housemate's family member, expect them to retaliate. Most people would

I probably would respond but I'd be a bit more mature about it than calling somebody I've never seen fat and ugly. The BB fan talking to her wasn't telling lies after all.

Perhaps not, but you have to see this from her perspective, she's Andrew's cousin and no doubt knows him more than any of us do or ever will do, she's hardly going to agree with the statement is she?

And if a relative of mine were on Big Brother and a bunch of obsessive fans hunted me down and started sending me and said relative abuse, I would do far worse than just call them fat and ugly. I can imagine I'd be very protective over them. It's one of the nastiest aspects of the BB community and it happens all over the world and it needs to stop. Leave them alone, they haven't put themselves up to be judged in the same way, and if you insult their family member, be prepared for them to retaliate.

Amy Jade 10-06-2016 12:21 AM

I wouldn't defend my cousin if he was making racial slurs and homophobic comments. Simple as that.

Jack_ 10-06-2016 12:30 AM

Well actually she was defending herself in the majority of those replies because some obsessive Big Brother fans think it's acceptable to hunt down family members of the housemates and insult them

Unbelievable that people would think that's justifiable tbh
