Could we be heading for a BBUS/Canada format next year?

I'm getting musings that we could be heading for a US/Canada format for next year.

The way the others were discussing evicting housemates and general talk makes me wonder if channel 5 are testing the waters to see how regular fans take to the changes.

What do you think?

Boring

I thought that they were going to go with it this year and I wasn't objected to it, so I wouldn't mind them giving it a go next year.

(If they were doing it though, they'd need to give us a Live Feed so I doubt it's happening any time soon)

This could be messy but if the keep the two houses thing than it's possible that they could have one house BBUK format and one US format with the US format having a higher prize fund (£100,000) so it is more competitive compared to the UK format winner who will now recieve £50,000. The UK spin on this format is that the jury will also be the UK house and jury houseguets will be able to eventually compete in UK style BB.

God I hope so

They should've done it this year instead of whatever 'the game is changing' (except there isn't much game in what they're doing) format they've come up with

There's no way it's ever going to happen, C5 aren't daring or innovative enough to try it

are we even gonna get a series next year :worry:

Hopefully not, if you want to watch something with BBUS/BBCan rules just watch BBUS or BBCan lol. The format isn't that great anyway

I used to think uk had the better format but considering who won last year.....ive lost faith in the uk voters. change it

They could advertise it like 'the game...CHANGES AGAIN' though. It would be ridiculous but then again we never know with this show. With them building 2 houses this year i could see it possible that they could tweak the game again next year. I've been thinking of a way that they can utilize the other house and merge both formats together.

Spoiler:

Start the series with 18 housemates on Launch Night. Emma explains the twist at the beginning of launch night before any housemates even enter. She will say the following '18 housemates walk into the house tonight and after they do, number 18 is the lucky number! Whoever decides to be number 18 will hold the powers over the other numbers. Numbers are key this series! I can't wait to see how it all unfolds!'

The first HOH will be decided at random and in secret in a task to win food for the week. They will find podiums numbered from 1 to 18, on one end of the garden and a gold target on the other. Housemates randomly assign themselves a number not knowing that whoever places themselves at number 18 will be the HOH of the week. Housemates will be given a series of random questions by Big Brother, each answer will be a number from 1 to 18. They will have 20 seconds to work out the answer and run over to the gold target to shout out it out correctly if they get 18 out of 30 questions they win the luxury food for the week.

After the task is over, 'Lucky number 18' will be called the diary room and be told the news in secret. As the first HOH it is their SECRET mission to nominate 4 housemates by Day 5, during this secret mission they will have luxuries in the diary room and not have access to the brand new HOH suite. (This comes into play in week 2 when all housemates know the game has changed.)

The 4 nominated housemates will take part on the first POV to make themselves save for the week. The 3 housemates then face the public vote and the person with the least votes to be evicted stays. The last 2 housemates nominated will face the house vote to find out who is evicted that week! The next HOH is decided in a task just like in BBCAN & BBUSA. Then the pattern above continues for the next week!

After the first 5 housemates are evicted - the jury begins to be formed and will move into the other house.

When we are down to the final 6 housemates in the main house the jury decide who is evicted in the shock double eviction a couple days before the final but what they won't immediately know is that 3 of the jury will take their place! They will take their place after taking part in a task in the main garden!

I thought about this way too much

They should have done it this year. I think it's the way forwards for BBUK.

Don't think I would like it to be the full on BBUS format, just some elements from BBUS so it's more game-like.
