My dad literally reads anything at all. I got him a few of the ASOIAF books the Christmas before last and last year I got him some Stephen King books

Smithy 17-06-2016 01:30 PM

He's read all of ASOIF so I've got him that prequel one and I'll get something else too I think

:joker::joker::joker:

He loves his couple of whisky's on a Saturday night, it's a long running joke really that every, xmas, birthday, fathers day etc, we all buy him a bottle and it lasts him right through to the next celebration, so he never needs to buy his own whisky

Not Mario Kart though, he's a football manager type of person.

He'll just be getting a card, it was his 70th a couple of weeks back and that cost me an arm and a leg.

I might buy him a pint at the Rugby on Sunday, if he's lucky

MTVN 17-06-2016 02:19 PM

Just a card for my old man as well

Crimson Dynamo 17-06-2016 02:23 PM

he is dead

:bawling:

but he would have got f all as per as he did not believe in it

smudgie 17-06-2016 02:36 PM

My lovely dad has been gone a few years now:bawling:

Daughter is travelling up from Brighton for the weekend, a treat in itself. She has bought him a litre of whiskey and will look for something more personal tomorrow.
Son will no doubt end up raiding my goodie cupboard upstairs for a bottle of something for him.
Hubby has taken the shift off on Sunday...first time ever, but he had it owed to him and he leaves in a fortnight anyway.

Marsh. 17-06-2016 02:39 PM

Maybe a card if he's good.

Morgan. 17-06-2016 08:44 PM
